In Hytale, Charcoal is used as fuel and as an ingredient for crafting. Luckily, it’s quite simple to make, so players shouldn’t have much trouble learning how.

This guide explains how to obtain Charcoal in Hytale and why it’s useful. Here’s a breakdown of the process.

In Hytale, you can get Charcoal by using any fuel source – like wooden sticks, logs, or plant fiber – in a Furnace or Campfire. When these items are burned to power the workstation, Charcoal is created as an extra item.

Whenever you cook food at a Campfire or smelt ore in a Furnace using anything except Charcoal as fuel, a piece of Charcoal will also be produced alongside your cooked food or metal ingot.
