The creators of Palworld have given fans a sneak peek at some new creatures coming to the game, sharing concept art in a video celebrating their 2nd anniversary.
Pocketpair has been actively developing Palworld, both the game itself and the broader franchise. Last month brought the Ultrakill collaboration and the ‘Home Sweet Home’ update, adding new content for players. They also recently announced a Palworld trading card game, expanding the Palworld universe into a new format. Now, they’ve given a sneak peek at what players can expect in the upcoming 1.0 update, which will officially release the game from early access.
Palworld Reveals Concept Art for Upcoming Pal
The 2nd Anniversary video for Palworld begins with Bucky from Pocketpair, who shares that the team is diligently working on the massive 1.0 update. While they aren’t ready to reveal details just yet, as development is ongoing, they did offer a first look at some concept art for new Pals coming to the game.
The initial concept art showed a dragon blended with lotus flower designs. The next featured a fluffy, yet fierce creature that appeared to control electricity. The third Palworld concept art was of a blue and white bird with a cloud around its head. Another design showed an eel-like Pal capable of splitting in half to become a blade. Finally, the last artwork displayed a pair of creatures highlighted in blue and red.
Besides showcasing Pal concept art, the video also hints at another creature near the end. Bucky jokingly asks if it sounds like a whale, which is then followed by a gameplay clip of a player riding a large, whale-like mythical beast towards an unknown tree. You can watch the 2nd Anniversary teaser to see it for yourself.
Palworld fans, there’s a chance we might see a story-driven game from the developers down the line! Also, they’ve been sharing sneak peeks of new Pals coming to the game.
