Hytale features a diverse range of armor options. Players begin with basic clothing, but can eventually craft strong armor using rare and magical metals. The most powerful armor is found in the game’s most challenging locations. Here’s a preview of the different armor sets available in Hytale.
Okay, so I’m playing Hytale right now, and it’s super early in development. That means not everything is unlocked yet. I’ve been checking out some of the armor sets that are in the game files, but right now you can’t actually craft them or find them while playing. They’re there, just not usable yet!

Currently, players can create five different types of armor, each made from ores they discover while exploring the game world, such as Cobalt and Adamantite. Wearing any armor set boosts your health and protection from damage. However, the higher-tier sets—those beyond Iron—offer even more advantages.
- Thorium Armor grants bonus Poison Resistance
- Cobalt Armor increases the damage dealt by your Signature Attack
- Adamantite Armor increases Light Attack damage
Trork Set
When you defeat Trorks, they sometimes drop pieces of the Trork Warrior armor. Wearing this armor boosts the damage of your Charged Attacks. While it offers similar protection to the Iron Armor, it’s best suited for use in easier, early-game areas.
All Unreleased Armor Sets in Hytale
Some armor sets are currently available in the game’s Creative Mode, but aren’t fully functional in standard gameplay. While they offer basic health and defense boosts, any Mana bonuses they provide don’t work yet.

As a big fan, I’m really excited about all the new armor sets, but it’s a little confusing figuring out which ones we’ll be able to craft and which ones we’ll just have to find as loot. Knowing how special the Trork, Thorium, Cobalt, and Adamantite sets are, I’m guessing some of these others will have unique perks too. Still, the developers haven’t confirmed everything, so I’m trying not to get too hyped until we know for sure what’s actually coming to the game!
