If you get any of Rika’s questions wrong, you’ll fail the assessment and have to leave. But don’t worry, you can retake it as many times as needed – there are no lasting consequences for failing. The only reward for passing on your first attempt, besides saving time, is a special comment from Rika acknowledging your success and noting that you’re the first person since Nemona to pass it on the first try.

The Victory Road Champion Assessment includes questions about gym leaders and their Pokémon. Three out of ten questions focus on this, so a quick review might be helpful.
