Masashi Kishimoto Confirms A New Naruto Ninja Even Stronger Than The Hokage

Throughout the long-running Naruto series, many powerful ninjas have emerged, but the Hokage consistently rank as the strongest. As the leaders of the Hidden Leaf Village, the Hokage are always recognized for their incredible power. Since the founding of Konoha, there have been seven Hokage, with Naruto Uzumaki being the most recent to hold the title.

Each Hokage left their mark on their time and significantly shaped the ninja world. They are especially known and respected for their incredible strength, which they used to protect not only their friends and family, but everyone in the village. Traditionally, the Hokage was always the strongest ninja, but that’s no longer the case. According to Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto, a new ninja has surpassed them in the Boruto series – Boruto Uzumaki, the Hokage’s own son.

Naruto Was The Strongest At The End Of The Original Story

Fans loved watching Naruto become the Seventh Hokage. He began as a seemingly powerless ninja with a dangerous beast sealed inside, but he eventually mastered that power and overcame all his challenges, ultimately becoming his strongest self.

Naruto gained the respect of everyone and was a hero in the Fourth Great Ninja War, saving the world from destruction. Because of this, he became known as the most powerful ninja. Shortly after the war, a few years later, he fulfilled his dream and became Hokage when Kakashi retired.

Naruto Uzumaki achieved incredible feats through dedicated training, mastering powerful abilities like Sage Mode with the help of Fukasaku after Jiraiya’s passing. He later formed a connection with Kurama and all the Tailed Beasts, and received a special gift from Hagoromo Otsutsuki. These combined powers made him the strongest ninja of his era. As the Seventh Hokage, Naruto became the undisputed strongest shinobi in the world, surpassing even some members of the Otsutsuki clan.

The Seventh Hokage Has Been Surpassed By Boruto Uzumaki

Although Naruto Uzumaki was incredibly powerful in the original story, things are much harder for him in Boruto. He’s faced new threats like the powerful Otsutsuki clan and a group called Kara. While he’s handled some of these challenges, others have been extremely difficult. Ultimately, Naruto lost Kurama, his most important power. This also means he can no longer use the Six Paths Sage Mode, significantly weakening him.

Even after losing his ninja abilities, Naruto continued to serve as Hokage, though he wasn’t as strong as he used to be. He was eventually sealed away by Kawaki, and that was the last time fans saw him. He’s remained sealed ever since, and the story has moved forward with a three-year time skip in Boruto. During those three years, new, incredibly powerful ninjas have appeared, and some, like his son Boruto, have actually become stronger than Naruto was at his peak.

Boruto Uzumaki Trained Under Sasuke Uchiha

After Naruto was sealed away, Boruto spent a year training with Sasuke, mastering as many Uchiha techniques as possible and pushing his skills to their limit. Later, he met Koshin Koji and learned powerful techniques from various versions of himself across different timelines.

Boruto Uzumaki has become one of the most powerful ninjas ever, particularly after making a deal with Momoshiki. This agreement allows Boruto to use Momoshiki’s incredible power through the Karma mark, essentially sharing his body. Combining Momoshiki’s abilities with his own natural strength, Boruto now surpasses even his father, the Seventh Hokage, and is currently considered the strongest ninja alive.

Kawaki Has Also Pulled Ahead Of Naruto

Kawaki, Naruto’s adopted son, has quickly become one of the strongest characters in the series. Originally created as a scientific experiment and trained to host the powerful being Isshiki, Kawaki still possessed the Karma seal after Isshiki’s death. Following the time skip, he’s fully unlocked and mastered the Karma’s abilities, putting him among the world’s most formidable fighters.

The main difference between Kawaki and Boruto is that Kawaki isn’t a trained ninja and doesn’t embrace the ninja lifestyle. This ultimately leads him to contribute to the end of the ninja world, a fate that causes Boruto to consider himself the last true ninja.

Naruto Uzumaki’s Next Power Up Will be Vital

It’s disappointing to see, but Naruto Uzumaki has been overshadowed by several characters in the Boruto series. This is largely due to the way his character has been written in the sequel. Fans are hoping that the creator, Kishimoto, will revisit Naruto soon and give him the upgrades he deserves.

These new abilities will likely restore Naruto Uzumaki to his former strength, allowing him to protect his village from any threats. As the Hokage, that’s his most important job, and fans are hoping the author doesn’t diminish his role. Naruto has faced many hardships in the Boruto series, and it’s time for him to shine again.

Picking up three years after the events of the Omnipotence arc, the series follows Boruto Uzumaki as he strives to protect the world and navigate his relationship with his brother, Kawaki.
