How to Get Goldenwood in Hytale

Goldenwood is a special wood needed to fully upgrade your Farmer’s Workbench in the game Hytale. You can only get it from specific trees, so players need to search the game world to find them.

If you want to become a skilled farmer in Hytale, you’ll need to fully upgrade your Farmer’s Workbench. This unlocks the game’s most advanced farming recipes.

How to Get Goldenwood Logs in Hytale

In Hytale, only Sallow Logs and Palm Tree Logs count as Goldenwood Logs. You get Sallow Logs by chopping down Sallow trees, but Palm Tree Logs are found as rewards inside chests.

Sallow Logs

Sallow trees are uncommon, yellow-leaved trees found in a specific area of Hytale called the Cinder Wastes, within the Devastated Lands (Zone 4). You can locate them on the map by looking for dark yellow areas among the black islands of the Devastated Lands. They appear as trees with light-yellow leaves. When you chop down a Sallow tree with a hatchet, you’ll get Sallow Logs. These logs count as Goldenwood and are needed to upgrade your Farmer’s Workbench to Tier 8.

So, in Hytale, the worlds are randomly created, which is cool, but it also means you won’t always find a Cinder Wastes biome in every area. If I’m looking for one, I might have to keep exploring different zones until I stumble upon one that actually has it.

Palm Tree Logs

Palm Tree Logs are exclusively found in chests within the Howling Sands desert region (Zone 2) of Hytale. You’ll have the most luck searching enemy strongholds, underground mines, and other populated areas in the desert.

When you’re heading into areas with enemies, remember to bring lots of healing potions so you’re prepared for any damage you might take.

When you chop down palm trees in the game, you don’t get palm tree logs – you only get sticks. It’s unknown if this is a mistake or intentional, but right now, the only way to obtain palm tree logs is by finding them in chests.
