Forza Horizon 6 Playstation 5 Release Window Confirmed

Forza Horizon 6 will be released later this year, but PlayStation 5 gamers will need to be patient as it won’t be available on their console right away.

Playground Games revealed the first look at their new game during the Xbox Developer Direct on January 22nd. They officially confirmed the game will launch on May 19th, and also announced it will be coming to PlayStation 5 at a later date.

Forza Horizon 6 PS5 Release Window Confirmed

Playground Games announced at the Developer Direct that Forza Horizon 6 will be released on PlayStation 5 later in 2026, meaning players on that platform won’t have to wait long to experience the game.

While it was expected, the PS5 will be released after Forza Horizon 6 comes out on Xbox Series X|S and PC.

When the game was first announced in September, Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios said they’re planning to release Forza Horizon 6 on PlayStation 5 after it launches, due to high demand for the series on other consoles.

The release of Forza Horizon 6 on PlayStation is part of a bigger shift by Microsoft, as they’re now bringing games like Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush, and Indiana Jones & The Great Circle to platforms beyond Xbox. Halo is also planned to join these games on other systems later this year.

This isn’t the exact release date PlayStation fans were hoping for, but the good news is the game will be out before 2027.
