I recently checked out *BALL x PIT*, a cool new game from Devolver Digital, and it’s one of those projects where they’re giving smaller teams a chance to shine. What’s really interesting is how it mixes a bunch of different game styles. It’s got that classic *Breakout* or *Arkanoid* feel where you’re bouncing a ball to break blocks, but then throws in roguelite elements – meaning each run is different – and even lets you build a base! I had a chance to talk with the creator, Kenny Sun, about everything going on in the game. Just a heads up, the interview was trimmed down to make it easier to read.

Currently, *Demon Slayer* is one of the most popular anime series globally. The latest *Demon Slayer* movie, *Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 — Akaza’s Return*, has been a huge commercial success, becoming the highest-grossing anime film of all time. The movie heavily featured Akaza, a powerful demon, and his appearance was a major draw for audiences. While Akaza’s popularity has exceeded that of villains from *One Piece*, this doesn’t necessarily mean he’s a more compelling or well-developed character.

On October 13th, Centro Leaks—a Twitter user with a good track record for sharing accurate *Pokémon* leaks—posted several new details about the upcoming *Pokémon* games from Game Freak (Generation 10). The games are also reportedly set in a region inspired by Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia.

The anime *The Fated Magical Princess: Who Made Me a Princess* is based on the popular Korean web novel *Who Made Me a Princess*. It was already gaining a following in Japan before the anime even came out! In fact, the story, which is presented as a manhwa (Korean comic), was so well-loved that it ranked among the top 10 most requested series for anime adaptation in both 2022 and 2023 – a feat even the popular *Solo Leveling* didn’t achieve at the time. Now, this beloved story has finally been adapted into an anime by Chinese animation studio Colored Pencil Animation. The anime premiered recently, starting on September 28th in China, and fans are already impressed with its quality.
