Grandma Who Streamed Minecraft to Pay for Grandson’s Cancer Treatments Has Been Swatted

Jacquot began playing Minecraft in the summer of 2025 to stay connected with her grandsons, Jack and Austin, while Jack was being treated for a rare cancer called sarcoma. She started sharing her gameplay on YouTube and Twitch under the name GrammaCrackers in late 2025, hoping to raise money for Jack’s medical expenses through a GoFundMe campaign. As of today, the campaign has raised over $104,000. Thankfully, ABC 15 reported that Jack has been cancer-free since January 2026. Jacquot continues to stream Minecraft occasionally, supporting other charities and building a large online following of over 623,000 YouTube subscribers.

Embracer still owns those games, but nothing’s happened with them since, especially now that the original developers aren’t around anymore. Hopefully, this means we’ll see some of these classics make a comeback!

The launch of Splitgate 2 was poorly received, with players criticizing its costly in-game purchases and unfinished features despite the game’s generally good core gameplay. These issues led the developers to temporarily take the game offline and revert to a beta phase, resulting in layoffs at 1047 Games. The game was then relaunched as Splitgate: Arena Reloaded. More recently, information surfaced suggesting 1047 Games had started developing a new first-person shooter drawing inspiration from the Titanfall series.
