Blizzard Unveils Four-Part Showcase To Outline Future of Its Franchises

As Blizzard Entertainment celebrates its 35th anniversary, the company is launching a series of broadcasts to highlight the future of its most popular games. From January 29th to February 11th, Blizzard will host four shows as part of a ‘Franchise Spotlight Schedule’.

You can watch the ‘Blizzard Showcase’ online, where they’ll share updates on games like World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Hearthstone, and Diablo.

Blizzard Showcase Starts This Week

Starting January 29th, Blizzard will be holding a series of events to reveal what’s next for its biggest games. The first event focuses on World of Warcraft and begins this Thursday at 9 AM Pacific Time.

Overwatch will be featured on February 4th at 10 AM Pacific Time. Then, on February 9th at 9:30 AM PT, it’s Hearthstone’s turn. The event will conclude with Diablo, presented on February 11th at 2 PM PT.

I’m so hyped! Blizzard is kicking off a new era, and I’m already marking my calendar! Here’s when they’ll be diving deep into each of my favorite games – all times are Pacific Time, by the way:

World of Warcraft – January 29th at 9:00 AM
Overwatch – February 4th at 10:00 AM
Hearthstone – February 9th at 9:30 AM
Diablo – February 11th at 2:00 PM

Seriously, don’t miss these spotlights – I know I won’t!

Okay, so everyone’s thinking there’s more to this than meets the eye. Blizzard recently put out a graphic for their 35th anniversary, and sharp-eyed fans noticed it included little nods to both Starcraft and Heroes of the Storm. It’s got us all wondering if something bigger is coming for those games!

Starcraft, particularly Starcraft II, could really use some attention right now. Fans were disappointed to learn that no real-time strategy games, including Starcraft II, will be featured at this year’s Esports World Cup. However, there’s hope – rumors surfaced in January suggesting a brand-new Starcraft shooter game might be announced later this year.

The Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred expansion was revealed at The Game Awards and will be released on April 28th.
