One of the most popular features of Code Vein was its detailed character creation tool, and players often spent a lot of time designing their characters. Code Vein 2 continues this tradition, offering an even more robust creator with enhanced facial customization and realistic character movement.
Once you’ve created your character in Code Vein 2, you’re not stuck with your initial appearance. You can change it later if you want a different look, but you’ll need to unlock the feature first.
How to Change Appearance in Code Vein 2
Once you’ve created your character, the game will begin with a tutorial. You’ll need to play through this until you meet Noah. The tutorial continues as you follow Noah, guiding you to the main institute on MagMell Island.
You’re free to explore the island, but it’s more efficient to focus on the main goal first. You’ll need to explore eventually anyway, so it’s best to prioritize the objective now.
After the introductory scenes at the MagMell building, you’re free to explore. Inside, you’ll find characters like Jadwiga, who sells and upgrades weapons, including your Formae and Jail. If you want to customize your appearance, head left from the Mistle and then take the stairs to the right.
Continue down the path and turn left at the first opportunity. You’ll find a room with a blue curtain doorway – go through it. Inside, you’ll see several mirrors and be able to interact with the tables.
The outfits included with your game depend on which version you bought. If you pre-ordered any edition, you’ll receive the Forma Face Paint. The Deluxe Edition includes the Custom Outfit Pack, which features the Lavish Kimono, Mad Swordsman, and Cyber Ninja outfits. You’ll also get the Ame-no-Habakiri Greatsword, a strong weapon to use at the beginning of the game.
If you bought the Ultimate edition, you’ll also receive a Character Costume Set featuring six costumes inspired by the original Code Vein game. This gives you plenty of ways to customize your character’s appearance, and you can change outfits at any time while playing to experiment with different looks.
