The post from Satoshi (the creator of Bitcoin) stating he would focus on other projects on the BitcoinTalk forum fuels the theory that Satoshi may in fact be Sassaman. In the 2008 publication of the Bitcoin whitepaper, Back was noted and even corresponded with Satoshi Nakamoto via email during their work on Bitcoin. However, Back has consistently denied claims that he is the creator of Bitcoin. As the upcoming HBO documentary draws near, Back reiterated his stance on Twitter by saying, “I am not Satoshi Nakamoto, but I anticipate that the documentary will likely be inaccurate because no one truly knows who Satoshi is.
