Ripple CTO Praises Elon Musk’s Key Product

As a seasoned crypto investor and tech enthusiast, I have always been intrigued by the rapid advancements in technology that seem to defy conventional wisdom. David Schwartz’s recent experience with Elon Musk’s Starlink has certainly added another fascinating chapter to this narrative.

As a technology analyst, I recently had the opportunity to test out Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet service, and here’s my firsthand account of the experience.

As reported by Schwartz, he successfully connected to a Zoom call even without any cellular service, by merely mounting a Starlink satellite dish on the dashboard of his vehicle.

Last month, the Ripple CTO revealed that he got access to various Starlink Roam features, which include in-motion use, international travel, and coastal coverage.

To put it simply, Schwartz expresses little admiration towards centibillionaire Musk. He frequently criticizes him, suggesting that much of what Musk does is excessively overpraised. Moreover, the Ripple CTO has taken issue with Musk’s tendency to make grand promises that often go unfulfilled.

Despite being rather critical of Musk, Schwartz has praised Starlink on numerous occasions, describing it as an “astonishing success.”

Regarding the Zoom meeting powered by Starlink, Schwartz mentioned that his internet speed was approximately 8 Mbps (megabits per second). Although the quality of the call was deemed poor compared to their usual standards, he pointed out that the dish wasn’t designed for such conditions.

Back in May 2019, Starlink initiated its journey by sending its initial satellites aloft with the help of a Falcon 9 rocket. Currently, approximately 6,500 of these satellites are operational, orbiting our planet.

Musk’s firm currently serves over 4 million customers worldwide, primarily focusing on regions where internet connectivity is limited or lacking.

By July, Starlink Roam, a service enabling satellite internet while traveling, has expanded its coverage throughout the United States.

As reported by U.Today, Starlink also introduced its first-ever cell service earlier this year.
