Okay, so I’ve been checking out all the gaming gear that’s hot right now for the holidays – keyboards, mice, controllers, the whole nine yards. Here’s what’s really catching my eye!

It can be challenging to manage inventory, particularly when activities like the player Workshop in Speranza or Expeditions in ARC Raiders demand a lot of different items. Limited backpack space means players often have to decide which items are worth keeping and swapping out others. While the ‘best’ items depend on individual needs, there’s one item everyone should always make room for.

Krafton and the creators of Subnautica 2 are currently involved in a legal dispute. Krafton claims the founders left the project and quickly released it to get paid, while the founders allege they were unfairly fired to avoid a $250 million payment.

The nominations for The Game Awards 2025 are out, and the winners will be revealed on December 11th. Unfortunately for Xbox fans, no games exclusive to Xbox received nominations this year, meaning they won’t be competing for the coveted Game of the Year title.

Battlestate Games has announced that Escape From Tarkov will officially launch in August 2025, with a target release date of November. After years in beta and an earlier alpha test, players were eager for the full version (1.0). Unfortunately, issues arose soon after the game became publicly available.

The Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie continues to be a massive success, and it doesn’t show signs of slowing down. It’s shattered box office records previously held by other anime films, even surpassing the recent live-action Superman movie in the US shortly after its release. Globally, the film has now earned over 100 billion yen, a first for any Japanese movie.

Released in early October 2025, Ghost of Yotei quickly became a commercial success, topping preorder charts on PlayStation and earning back its development costs twice over. While initial sales figures were a bit lower than those of its predecessor, Ghost of Tsushima, the game is performing well. As the developers plan to add more content, they’ve begun sharing details about the game’s creation, including a difficult choice they had to make at the beginning of the project.

Starting November 19th and continuing through December 2nd, several new games will be added to the service. Two of these games will be available to play on day one for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members.
