Spring isn’t limited to massive savings from Steam alone; even though the PlayStation Store is joining in on the deals, the Epic Games Store is also participating in the festivities.
Through April 9th, you can pick up a forgotten Ubisoft classic at 90% off for just $5.
This week, the much-awaited successor to the 2014 game resembling Grand Theft Auto, Watch Dogs 2, is being offered at a significant reduction on the Epic Games Store.
Initially, the first Watch Dogs was well-received, but its sequel received even more praise. Fans especially appreciate the game’s compelling characters, with one Steam user review stating, “Wrench is among the best video game characters.” It also boasts an 82% positive rating on OpenCritic.
In simpler terms, our assessment of Watch Dogs 2 is that it offers an enjoyable gaming experience that justifies its cost. The game’s abundant content and meticulously designed environment make it a captivating adventure, both physically and virtually.
Watch Dogs 2 Is An Excellent Change of Pace

One point I found in the original Watch Dogs is that it seemed quite comparable to Grand Theft Auto. Granted, the game is set in Chicago instead of Liberty City, but the environments appeared quite alike.
In contrast to its predecessor, Watch Dogs 2 continues the narrative but shifts the environment to vibrant San Francisco. Unlike its main character, Aiden Pearce from the first game, who came off as rather unremarkable, the new protagonist, Marcus Holloway, is much more appealing and charismatic. The gameplay still combines open-world exploration with hacking elements.
Watch Dogs 2 thrives due to its ability to maintain a balance between humor and substance. Just like Grand Theft Auto, it uses satire effectively to provide a playful yet insightful commentary on contemporary society. Unlike the original Watch Dogs, which leaned heavily towards gloominess, Watch Dogs 2 presents a more cheerful perspective while tackling the rise of hacktivism during the late 2010s.
