Similar to several other bosses in this game, the level of challenge or simplicity during the fight is largely determined by your preparation. How To Prepare For Maneater Manjula In Metaphor: ReFantazio
- Protagonist – Brawler
- Strohl – Warrior
- Hulkenberg – Healer
If it’s feasible, let’s upgrade Strohl’s Mage Archetype once to acquire the skill ‘Blizz’. Then, use Skill Inheritance to transfer this ability to your Warrior character. Since Maneater Manjula uses a lot of fire and the Warrior has high resistance to it, this combo will be very beneficial. However, keep in mind that Manjula is weak against ice, so another character with ‘Blizz’ through Skill Inheritance would be advantageous. Additionally, stock up on Ice Chunks from the store as a backup option.

Upon venturing into Tradia Desert, three groups of Level 8 Hyenos will be indicated on your map. Since you’re likely capable, you can tackle these groups using regular combat in the overworld. Remember to ensure you are fully healed and prepared before defeating the final group, as doing so in real-time or squad combat will instigate a cutscene, initiating the battle with Maneater Manjula.
How To Beat Maneater Manjula In Metaphor: ReFantazio
The character Manjula, known as the Maneater, is vulnerable to both Ice and Strike attacks. If she’s struck with Fire damage, she’ll become enraged.
In the initial battle phase, Hulkenburg can exploit the enemy’s vulnerability with her standard attack, whereas the protagonist can achieve the same by employing one of the Brawler’s special moves. Hold off on using Strohl’s Blizz until two turns have passed to inflict maximum damage, but avoid buffing anyone during this first round. Maneater Manjula will commence her turn with a War Cry, which reduces the party’s attack and defense. You can counter these penalties by having Hulkenburg use a Rakunda on her subsequent turn.
In this scenario, Manjula the Maneater has three attack options: breathing fire, emitting poison, or performing a standard attack. If poison is employed and Hulkenburg has Patra on hand, he can heal anyone affected by the poison. The party should ideally avoid taking significant damage from the fire attacks. By using this setup, you’ll get two rounds of attacks without needing immediate healing. This enemy doesn’t have a lot of health, and the Brawler’s Skull Cracker will deal massive damage, especially if used effectively with the right stats.
