As a long-time strategy game enthusiast with countless hours spent navigating the treacherous waters of virtual conflicts, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming release of Sea Power: Naval Combat In The Missile Age! Having had the privilege of commanding Cold Waters’ fleet in the past, I eagerly anticipate taking on a new role as the mastermind behind NATO and Warsaw Pact naval and air weaponry.

Strategy Games Release Dates

Sea Power: Naval Combat In The Missile Age Release Date

Among the games I’m eagerly anticipating is Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Era, a creation from the talented mind behind Cold Waters. This strategy game is set to be released in November. In Sea Power, you’ll assume command of NATO and Warsaw Pact naval and air arsenals, engaging in high-seas battles on the open ocean.

In this game, you’ll find over 150 naval vessels and more than 60 aircraft dating back to the Cold War period, ready for action in various regions such as the North Atlantic, the Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Tonkin, and the Mediterranean. The game boasts sophisticated flight and ship physics, accurate weapons simulations with over 130 weapon systems, and a diverse range of 50 different ground objects. I’m genuinely impressed by its appearance. Here’s hoping the gameplay matches the stunning visual presentation it promises.

The game’s coming out in November 2024. No day has been announced.

FrostPunk 2 Out Now

Strategy and Wargaming News – 21st September – Frostpunk 2, Sea Power, Scourge of War and More

Hard to believe it’s already been six years since the release of the first Frostpunk! I had thought it came out as recently as 2021. The “bring your kids to work” game has evolved, and now its sequel is even more challenging. In Frostpunk 2, you’ll assume the role of a Steward, responsible for managing entire city districts at once, taking the original’s ambition to new heights.

In a perpetual winter setting or dealing with human nature, you’re tasked with ensuring everyone stays warm and fed. Once these fundamental needs are met, people may still find reasons to complain, leading to disagreements and conflicts. As an Overseer, your role is to handle their expectations, requests, and demands effectively so as to maintain order and harmony among the society, thereby avoiding chaos and disintegration.

Scourge of War – Remastered: Ligny DLC Available Now

Strategy and Wargaming News – 21st September – Frostpunk 2, Sea Power, Scourge of War and More

After experiencing Scourge of War – Remastered, I must say that the improvement in performance is like night and day. The game runs smoothly without compromising its core gameplay, while also enhancing its user interface. With my approval given, Norb Soft has launched Scourge of War: Waterloo Ligny, which is the second expansion pack among the original game’s three (the other two being Quatre Bras and Wavre).

The battle site of Ligny offers five different scenes depicting the confrontation between Napoleon’s troops and those led by Field Marshal Blucher who were defending their position. This additional content (DLC) comes at a price of 9 dollars, 8 pounds, or 9 euros, depending on your region. If you are passionate about Napoleonic conflicts, Scourge of War is currently the top choice for you.
