As a huge Battlefield fan, I’m really impressed with the variety of maps in Battlefield 6! There are over 10 different environments to fight in, from intense, close-up battles in places like Manhattan Bridge to huge, open zones like Operation Firestorm. And the Portal system is awesome – it lets players create and share their own custom maps, which adds a whole new level of challenge. Now, it sounds like they’re about to add even more with a brand new location!

The Epic Games Store has been offering free PC games for years, letting players build up a large library without spending any money. They update the free game selection every Thursday, and even offer daily free games during special events. While fans are waiting for the return of daily giveaways and the mystery game promotion – which should happen in about a month – they can still grab the current free games available.

Valve recently announced the new Steam Machine, a cube-shaped PC launching in 2026. It’s designed for gaming on your TV and can run SteamOS or any other operating system you prefer. Inside, it features a powerful six-core AMD Zen 4 processor (up to 4.8 GHz) and an RDNA3 graphics processor (up to 2.45 GHz during gameplay). Valve also revealed a new Steam Controller and the Steam Frame VR headset alongside the Steam Machine, completing their updated hardware collection. While a specific release date hasn’t been announced, everything is expected to be available sometime in 2026.

In October 2024, science fiction author Matthew Kelsey Martineau from Louisiana filed a lawsuit against Bungie, the company behind the game Destiny 2. Martineau claimed Bungie copied his work in the game’s Red War campaign and its first season. He stated that his science fiction stories, The Red Legion, written between 2013 and 2014, featured a similar militaristic alien group called the Red Legion. Martineau argued that Destiny 2‘s version of the Red Legion and its leader, Dominus Ghaul, were strikingly similar to his own characters and storyline.

Changes in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic aim to make the game easier and less complicated. While some players appreciate this simplification and enjoy the current class design, others feel it has made the game too easy, especially for experienced players. The recent adjustments, particularly with the Paladin class, seem to be inconsistent – improvements are often followed by setbacks.

Despite its success, Battlefield 6 has faced a lot of criticism. The game’s launch on Battlefield RedSec received negative reviews, and players have repeatedly complained about the cosmetic items and the way the battle pass is structured, focusing heavily on challenges. However, the biggest point of contention seems to be the map design. Many longtime fans feel the maps are too small and encourage chaotic, close-quarters combat, lacking the large scale they’ve come to expect from the Battlefield series. While Battlefield Studios is working on improvements for future updates, reducing the number of players in the Breakthrough mode feels like a temporary solution – one that many players would prefer to see addressed more thoroughly.

Xbox Partner Previews are brief presentations highlighting games coming to Xbox, but they focus on titles from different companies, unlike the main Xbox Game Showcases. The most recent preview, in October 2024, featured games like Cronos: The New Dawn, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and FBC: Firebreak. While Microsoft announced plans for a new showcase last month with few specifics, a reliable source has now shared some potentially exciting news.

A major leak has revealed details about the upcoming Pokemon games, which are rumored to be called Pokemon Wind and Wave. These new games, set in a region inspired by Southeast Asia, will reportedly feature islands created using procedural generation. A key battle mechanic will involve weather-based moves. While new Pokemon will be introduced, some existing ones will also receive updated designs. Leaked screenshots suggest the games are being built for the Switch 2, and despite the popularity of the original Switch, these new titles are expected to be exclusive to Nintendo’s next-generation console.

The latest update to the Nintendo Switch operating system, version 21.0.0, was released worldwide on November 10th. Shortly after, some users reported that the update caused issues with certain third-party docks designed for the upcoming Switch 2 console, rendering them unusable.
