It’s your responsibility to keep your spaceship well-maintained and make each journey as efficient as possible. Fuel is crucial, especially during long voyages across various star systems. Follow this guide to find out how to refill your space truck in “Star Trucker“.
Fuel Stations
At any moment while you’re driving, you can glance at the fuel indicator on your dashboard. If it indicates that the fuel is low, it means it’s time to refuel. It’s wise to fill up with gas before embarking on a task. As you progress and earn higher-ranking certifications, your flights will become increasingly longer.
I’m thrilled to share that you can count on finding a central refueling station at each hub location. Keep an eye out for this space station, it’s where you can pick up tasks and browse shops. You’ll find a fuel station close by, easily identifiable with a fuel icon on your Heads-Up Display (HUD). When you spot one, navigate to the purple fuel pump areas at the station. Park your truck there, and the designated area will light up green for you to refuel.
Begin refueling process to fill up your truck with gas. Prices may vary at different gas stations, so remember to press the button again when the cost becomes too high for your budget.
Manual Refueling
In a tight spot, finding myself miles away from a gas station, I’ve got this covered. Luckily, I’ve got an extra fuel canister stashed in my ride. Just need to rummage through the shelf near the circuit breaker and my sleeping area to grab it.
Grab the fuel canister and put on your spacesuit. Exit the airlock and fly to the underside of your truck. The red fuel cap is in between your main engines. Carefully drop the fuel canister and remove the fuel cap. Try to remain very still as your canister/cap can easily fly away in zero gravity if you bump into them. Pick up the canister and refuel your truck manually. Don’t forget to screw the cap back on. Return the fuel canister to your truck interior so you don’t receive a fine for littering.
In Star Trucker, it’s likely you’ll find fuel containers for sale at many stores. It’s wise to keep some on hand as a precaution. If ever you run out of fuel completely, your only recourse would be to deactivate the oxygen supply in your truck cabin. This action will trigger a rescue team to come to your aid.
