The last part of Resident Evil 7 leads Ethan to confront the bioweapon, Eveline. After navigating the salt mines, you’ll discover a map, a tape recorder, and a hidden passage – a wooden wall you can break down to return to the guest house from the beginning of the game. This is where Ethan starts his pursuit of the true antagonist of Resident Evil 7.

She’s definitely a tough opponent, but this guide will help you beat Eveline in Resident Evil 7 and finally stop the horrors at the Baker house.

How to Defeat Eveline – Chasing Eveline

As Ethan enters the guest house, he’ll start experiencing memories of his struggle with Mia, triggered by shadowy figures of Eveline. You need to follow these ghostly images throughout the house, and when you see illusions of Mia, either steer clear of them or find ways to block them. After seeing Eveline a few times on the ground floor, go upstairs.

When you get near the attic, you’ll hear Mia calling for help. The room where Mia died won’t have anyone in it, but her ghost will quickly appear and confront Ethan with a chainsaw. Go back downstairs, and you’ll find Eveline in the hallway near the guest house entrance, close to the cabinet you previously opened with the bolt cutters. After a brief conversation, Eveline will instruct Ethan to move the necrotoxin. Return to the attic to have the final showdown with Eveline.

How to Defeat Eveline – Fighting Eveline

There are three stages to fighting Eveline in Resident Evil 7:

Stage One

As Ethan gets closer to Eveline on the upper floor, she’ll try to repel him by throwing debris. You need to fight through her attacks and reach her to inject the E-Necrotoxin. Watch out – Eveline will occasionally power up a powerful attack that you must block, or you’ll be knocked down and quickly defeated.

Whenever there’s a pause in the attacks, try to move closer to Eveline. Remember that Ethan will be pushed back while defending, so time your approach carefully to grab her. Once Ethan reaches Eveline and injects the necrotoxin, the hallucinations will stop, and it will be revealed that Grandma Baker is actually the bioweapon. Eveline will then disintegrate into mold, starting the next part of the battle.

Stage Two

Now’s the perfect time to use your strongest weapons against the Molded Eveline transforms into. The Grenade Launcher, Shotgun, and Magnum are all excellent choices in RE7. We suggest starting with the Magnum, since you’ll get another powerful weapon later on – so use your Magnum ammo while it’s most useful! After that, switch to the Grenade Launcher, and then the upgraded M21 Shotgun if you have it.

If you turn around and check the room’s corners, you might find shotgun shells. Once you’ve hurt Eveline enough during Stage Two, she’ll throw Ethan through a wall, knocking him unconscious for a moment and starting the last part of the battle.

Stage Three

Once Ethan recovers, he’ll draw his weapon again. Continue to focus all your attacks on Eveline. When she attacks with her tentacles, be sure to block – you won’t be able to move if Ethan is knocked down. We suggest starting with the Magnum, then using the Grenade Launcher, followed by the Shotgun, and finally the Handgun with your strongest ammo.

After you’ve damaged Eveline enough, she’ll stab Ethan in the leg and briefly lift him into the air. Keep shooting at her while this happens until she drops him back down.

How to Defeat Eveline – Ending Eveline

Ethan will then get a call from a mysterious number, telling him to grab the handgun from the crate nearby – it’s called the Albert-01 and is designed to fight the molded. This handgun can’t be reloaded, so aim carefully and shoot for Eveline’s head, even though she’s protected by tentacles.

If you hit Eveline a few times, she’ll start to break down, which will cause the end of Resident Evil 7 to begin. The specific ending you get depends on whether you previously gave the serum to Mia or Zoe at the boathouse.
