In the course of their talks, everyone concurred that Shanghai should carry on with its commitment to data transparency, expand data facilities, and boost a top-notch digital commercial ecosystem.

As a researcher focusing on urban digital development, I envision us fostering Shanghai’s future by enhancing the openness and dissemination of public data, stimulating innovative applications and utilization of this data. We aim to create an outstanding digital business ecosystem, which in turn will propel the construction of international-standard data centers. Last year, our city’s digital economy surpassed CNY600 billion (USD 84.5 billion), underscoring its immense potential for growth and development.

Shanghai As The Perfect Host To Explore Advanced Technologies

The Pudong district in Shanghai serves as an ideal platform for fostering advancements in technology and innovation, including blockchain technology. As stated by Shen Zhulin, deputy head of the National Data Administration, Shanghai has the potential to lead the way in the cutting-edge tech sector.
