PS Plus Monthly Games for March 2026 Wish List

During the recent State of Play presentation, Sony revealed some upcoming games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Players with PS Plus Essential will receive Big Walk later this year. PS Plus Premium members can look forward to Tekken: Dark Resurrection (from the PSP) in March and Time Crisis in May, meaning no new games are planned for that service in April. The February lineup of games for PS Plus Extra was also announced, offering a glimpse of what’s to come, though Sony is holding back many surprises.

Currently, the only game confirmed for PlayStation Plus Premium in March is Tekken: Dark Resurrection. We expect PlayStation Plus to announce the free games for the Essential tier around February 25th, with those games becoming available in early March. The list of games for the PS Plus Extra tier will likely be revealed around the middle of the month.

It’s hard to say for sure what games PlayStation Plus will add next, but there are plenty of good candidates. Looking at past releases can give us some clues. The Essential tier tends to offer a somewhat random mix of games, often geared towards specific interests. Extra is where Sony really shines, adding a wide range of titles. Premium feels a bit less focused. Since we know Premium will be updated through March 2026, it’s helpful to think about what types of games would be a good fit for the Essential and Extra tiers.

PS Plus Free Games for March 2026 Wish List: Have a Nice Death

Even though PS Plus Essential often attracts specific types of gamers, that doesn’t mean a game offered through it can’t be universally enjoyable within that group. Have a Nice Death is a delightful and engaging side-scrolling action game with platforming elements and roguelite features like randomly generated levels and replayability. While it might particularly appeal to fans of those genres, it’s a high-quality game that anyone could appreciate.

  • ROGUELIKE COMBAT: Fast-paced 2D hack-and-slash with responsive controls and procedurally-generated levels
  • MULTIPLE PLAYSTYLES: Huge variety of weapons, spells, and upgrades you can find and customize
  • HIGH REPLAY VALUE: A progression loop with procedural levels, bosses, and a risk-versus-reward “curse” system

PS Plus Free Games for March 2026 Wish List: Hitman World of Assassination

While the free games offered with PS Plus in January and February were good, the next big title really needs to be exceptional. Including Hitman World of Assassination would demonstrate Sony’s commitment to PS Plus Essential subscribers and prove they don’t depend solely on the Extra tier for providing value. Plus, it’s made by IO Interactive, the studio also developing the upcoming 007 First Light. Both are great games, and what better way to enjoy the wait than by revisiting one of IO Interactive’s best titles?

  • Comprehensive Trilogy Experience: Hitman World of Assassination consolidates the main campaigns, contracts, escalations, elusive targets, and live content from Hitman 1, 2, and 3.
  • Massive Stealth Action Sandbox: With 20+ detailed locations, assassinations encourage creative gameplay with dozens of disguises, gadgets, and environmental opportunities.
  • Strategic Depth: Highly replayable missions, community-created contracts, and hundreds of challenges encourage planning and risk-reward progression.

PS Plus Free Games for March 2026 Wish List: My Time at Portia

While Have a Nice Death caters to a particular audience, My Time at Portia offers a similar appeal. This game is great for players who love in-depth crafting, and it also includes features found in simulation and farming games – making it a fantastic choice for PS Plus subscribers. If you’re looking to explore new game types, My Time at Portia is an excellent place to start. My Time at Sandrock is also a good option, but it’s generally best to play the first game in a series before jumping into the sequel.

  • Deep Crafting, Workshop Progression: Restore and upgrade an inherited workshop by gathering materials, crafting equipment, fulfilling commissions, and growing your business.
  • Sandbox Simulation Activities: Plus, grow crops, raise animals, decorate your home, explore ruins, and cook, fish, and enjoy festivals at your leisure.
  • Community and RPG Elements: Befriend townsfolk, give gifts, go on dates, romance someone, and level up crafting, combat, and social skills.

PS Plus Extra Games for March 2026 Wish List

We didn’t include a PS Plus Premium game this time because Tekken: Dark Resurrection is already scheduled to be released in March 2026.

  • Black Myth Wukong – While currently available as a 2-hour free trial on PS Plus Premium, moving the full game to PS Plus Extra could be wise. It’s not like PS Plus’ tiers are immune to double-dipping. In this case, fans would get a solid game, and it could build hype as Game Science boosts marketing for the sequel: Black Myth Zhong Kui.
  • Nioh 2With Nioh already on PS Plus Extra and the recent release of Nioh 3, this could be a good way to boost sales for Nioh 3 while giving fans who have beaten it a little more to play. The best time to add Nioh 2 to PS Plus was before Nioh 3′s release, but the second-best time is now.
  • Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle – Horror games can do well on PS Plus, and after beating Resident Evil Requiem (since it releases at the end of February), some fans may want a little more survival horror in their life.
  • LEGO Marvel Super HeroesThere are plenty of LEGO games on PS Plus, and a lot of hype around the upcoming release of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. Adding one of the best LEGO games of all time to PS Plus Extra ahead of time seems like a no-brainer.
  • SatisfactoryThis co-op factory-building game is a blast with friends, and adding it to PS Plus only ensures increased co-op gameplay. It’s a win for everyone, including your friends.
