Next Pokemon Presents Event Officially Confirmed, Here’s How Long It Will Be

The next Pokémon Presents presentation is scheduled for February 27th at 6am Pacific Time. While many fans anticipate a substantial showcase, recent reports suggest it will only be slightly longer – about a minute – than the Pokémon livestream from last July. With one game already announced, the presentation might have room for even more significant reveals.

Pokemon Presents are special events where the creators of the Pokemon games share news about upcoming titles, shows, updates, and merchandise. These showcases happen several times a year, and one is almost always held on February 27th – known as Pokemon Day by fans, as it marks the anniversary of the first Pokemon games’ release in Japan in 1996. This year’s event is particularly exciting because it coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Pokemon franchise, so fans can expect even more announcements and celebrations.

Pokemon Presents February 2026 Date, Time, and Length

  • Date: Friday, February 27
  • Time: 6am P.T.
  • Length: 25 minutes

A new leak from reliable Pokemon source CentroLeaks suggests the upcoming Pokemon Presents showcase will be around 25 minutes long. This is longer than usual – past February presentations have typically lasted about 17 minutes. Last year’s nearly 26-minute show was unusually long and skews the average. Longer presentations usually mean there are big announcements coming, and with the recent early reveal of Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, fans have good reason to be excited about what will be shown.

The next Pokemon Presents event in February will likely include the official announcement of the new mainline Pokemon games – Generation 10. Leaks from last October strongly suggest these games, reportedly titled Pokemon Wind and Wave, will feature several exciting new elements. These include a battle system focused on weather, underwater exploration, jungle areas, updated designs for familiar Pokemon, and the return of the large Titan Pokemon from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. While more details have surfaced in recent weeks, fans are eagerly awaiting the first official reveal, which is expected during the upcoming Pokemon Presents.

The upcoming Nintendo event will likely focus heavily on the newest Pokémon games, but we can expect announcements beyond that. Pokémon Pokopia, the first official Pokémon life simulation game, launches on March 5th, and Nintendo and The Pokémon Company will probably showcase it one last time before release. Considering the event’s timing, we can also anticipate announcements about special celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon GO, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and other games. As is typical for this annual event, there’s a good chance we’ll get a first look at completely new, unannounced Pokémon projects as well.

At 25 minutes, the recent showcase was a bit longer than usual, but only slightly. The July 2025 Pokemon Presents lasted 24 minutes and 12 seconds and is best remembered for the big reveals about Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which came out about three months later. Nearly a third of the show focused on that game, but it still made time to announce Pokemon Champions and Pokemon Friends, new animated series Pokemon Concierge and Pokemon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu, and the PokePark Kanto theme park in Tokyo.
