A special bundle for the upcoming game Resident Evil Requiem has been spotted online, and it includes a surprising bonus: a pull-up bar! With the highly anticipated survival horror game launching next week, one store is offering this unique package deal, giving fans a chance to both play and get in shape.
Before the release of Requiem, a lot of information leaked online. Fans found out details like the return of Leon Kennedy long before Capcom made any official announcements. Some people even received copies of Resident Evil Requiem early, before the February 27th launch date. While the game struggled to stay under wraps, this new pull-up bar bundle was a complete surprise.
Resident Evil Requiem Horrifying Nightmare Set Includes a Real-Life Pull-Up Bar
On February 19th, Yume Group, a Japanese entertainment and e-commerce company, announced a limited-edition Resident Evil Requiem bundle in a presentation similar to an infomercial. The “Horrifying Nightmare Set” includes a physical copy of the game for either PS5 or Switch 2, along with a pull-up bar, which Yume Group playfully calls a “Dream Hanging Health Device.” While it’s not the collector’s edition some Resident Evil Requiem fans were hoping for, it does offer something unique compared to the game’s Deluxe Edition. However, those interested in purchasing the set have likely missed out, as all 50 copies have already been sold according to Yume Group’s website.

Surprisingly, the Dream Hanging Health Device has a connection to the game Resident Evil Requiem. A scene in the game’s reveal trailer shows Grace Ashcroft hanging upside down from a medical bed, and the pull-up bar in the Horrifying Nightmare Set is a direct reference to that moment. Yume Group emphasized this connection by including an image of Grace using the Health Device in their product listing, though in the image, she’s hanging normally and looks less upset than she did in the trailer.
The Horrifying Nightmare Set costs ¥19,800, which is about $130. While more expensive than the $80 Digital Deluxe Edition and $90 Deluxe Steelbook Edition, it’s reasonably priced considering it includes the $70 base game and a full pull-up bar. It’s also much cheaper than some past Resident Evil bundles – the Resident Evil 6 Premium Edition sold for around $730 in 2012 and included a real leather jacket like the one worn by Leon. Whether fans think this new set is a good value remains to be seen, and it might take a little longer to gauge popularity, as Yume Group estimates the bundle will ship about a week after the game Requiem is released.
Capcom Okay, so I’m super excited for Resident Evil Requiem, but a warning to anyone who hasn’t gotten their copy yet: be careful online! Some people are already playing it early, and spoilers are starting to show up everywhere. It’s just a matter of time before things get really bad, so if you want to go in fresh, you might want to avoid gaming sites and social media for the next few days.
