Boruto Chapter 15 Review: Boruto And Kawaki Team Up

As a long-time fan of the Naruto universe, I must say that the latest chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has certainly kept us on our toes! The tension between Ryu and Gaara is palpable, and it’s intriguing to see how Ryu’s connection with Shinki could play out.

This article contains spoilers from Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 15.

Key Takeaways

  • Boruto and Kawaki team up for the first time after the timeskip.
  • Flashback reveals Gaara’s fight and Shinki’s sacrifice against the Shinju.
  • Code faces another defeat while Ryu targets Gaara for consumption.

In a new twist, chapter 15 of the Boruto manga titled “Two Blue Vortex” was released last week, offering an exciting read overall. However, compared to previous chapters, this month’s installment seemed less impactful for some fans. Despite that, crucial advancements were indeed made within the storyline. For instance, Boruto and Kawaki finally had a proper reunion post-timeskip, and we got insights into the events unfolding in the Hidden Sand Village.

Despite not seeing as much progression in the story as some fans had hoped, there’s still plenty to look forward to in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 15. At minimum, viewers can agree that the next chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is shaping up to be nothing short of spectacular.

A Flashback From The Hidden Sand Village

  • Gaara Fought Against Matsuri
  • Shinki Saved Gaara’s Life

Last month left some supporters a bit disheartened as Kankuro contacted Shikamaru. The reason being, they missed out on witnessing the events unfolding in the Secret Sands Village, and if possible, they would have preferred to experience it firsthand. However, their anticipation is satisfied in chapter 15 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Although this chapter doesn’t provide a detailed fight sequence, what was shown was more engaging than just Kankuro narrating it. In essence, Gaara and his team from the Hidden Sand Village were depicted fighting against Matsuri and several Claw Grimes. At this juncture, Gaara had sealed all his students, as he views them as the future of the Hidden Sand Village, and wished to protect them from any potential harm.

You three are the future of the Hidden Sand Village! – Gaara

In the heat of this fierce battle, I came to terms with my inability to best Matsuri. To ensure the safety of the three students, I struck a deal – if I didn’t resist, he would let them go unharmed. But as Shinki watched his own father’s life slipping away, he found the strength to act. He somehow broke free from my Jutsu with one hand and used Iron Sand to lock the 5th Kazekage within a seal. In essence, Shinki took a page out of Kawaki’s book, trapping Gaara inside the confines of that seal.

Currently, Konoha has not dispatched any team to Sunagakure. However, it’s imminent that they will do so, and with this upcoming journey comes the anticipation of a thrilling battle in Sunagakure, which fans know is bound to happen sooner rather than later. The stage was set for this event in chapter 15 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.

Code vs The Shinju Ends In Another Embarrassment

Boruto Chapter 15 Review: Boruto And Kawaki Team Up

While the flashback was certainly exciting, there were better things to focus on in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 15. One of the most exciting parts was when Ryu finally came into existence properly. He was seen conversing with the other Shinju, but it didn’t take him long to figure out that someone was spying on him. As to how he figured it out, it shouldn’t surprise any fan that he has great sensory powers thanks to the sand particles around him. He was able to figure out that Code was hiding nearby and he pulled him out with his Iron Sand Jutsu. Code didn’t waste any time in attacking Jura, and this was because he considered him to have disobeyed an order from him. As it so happens, Code still believes that he’s capable enough of eating the Chakra Fruit, and that when he does consume it, he will have the last laugh over everyone.

To Code, Jura made it clear that his threat was empty. With just a flick of his wrist, Jura effortlessly severed one of Code’s limbs and left him dazed. In truth, Jura demonstrated his dominance by offering him a chance to live and make a deal instead. He promised to let him survive, even giving him the chakra fruit as a condition – but only if he eliminated Boruto Uzumaki and all the others. Whether or not Jura will truly allow Code to consume the fruit is uncertain at this point. However, it’s worth noting that Jura seems intrigued by the idea of consuming the fruit himself and observing its effects.

Most significantly, Ryu identified a suitable victim, who turned out to be none other than Gaara, the 5th Kazekage. This was significant because Gaara shares the same spiritual energy as Shinki and also commands similar Jutsu.

Boruto Chapter 15 Review: Boruto And Kawaki Team Up

It seems quite straightforward already, but I can suggest a slightly different phrasing:

Boruto Uzumaki and Kawaki Team Up

Finally, The Two Important Brothers Reunite In Boruto

In chapter 15 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, the most thrilling moment occurred towards the end. For the first time since the timeskip, Boruto and Kawaki engaged in a prolonged discussion, which turned out to be much less hostile than many fans anticipated. It was refreshing to witness this interaction. During their talk, Boruto disclosed the reason he never revealed his secret to the village, and at the same time, informed him that he has significantly increased his strength now. In essence, Kawaki needs to catch up. The gap between them is immense, but this is due to Kawaki being restrained by none other than Amado. This is probably because Amado wants Kawaki to survive at any cost, as we learned earlier in the story, because he wishes to use Karma to advance his own objectives.

Most significantly, Boruto pointed out that Momoshiki hasn’t appeared for three years, and he concurs with Kawaki about the necessity of eradicating the Otsutsuki clan first. However, prior to tackling this task, he needs Kawaki’s assistance in getting rid of the Shinju. In essence, Boruto and Kawaki have temporarily joined forces before addressing their individual matters.

To the delight of fans, Kawaki and Boruto have joined forces once more, an event sure to keep us on the edge of our seats as they navigate the challenges in the series ahead. First up, Kawaki must confront Amado and request that he eliminate all his restrictive devices. After this step, they are likely to make their way to the Hidden Sand Village, where the task will involve battling Ryu and other Shinju members. The upcoming Boruto storyline promises to be thrilling, possibly even pivotal since it may lead to the resolution of all Shinju issues if handled successfully there.

Starting from now, the series will delve into larger storylines, one of which involves Boruto and Kawaki possibly engaging in a confrontation with each other. Chapter 15 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex laid the groundwork for an exhilarating chapter in the narrative, even though the chapter itself wasn’t particularly outstanding. Fans are now eagerly anticipating the developments to unfold next month.
