World of Warcraft Players Don’t Need to Wait Until March 2 To Claim These Midnight Twitch Rewards

Starting February 26th, World of Warcraft is offering two ways to earn rewards on Twitch: Twitch Drops and a Support a Streamer campaign. You can get these collectible items as soon as early access to the ‘Midnight’ content begins, before the full expansion is released.

The new Midnight expansion for World of Warcraft launches on March 2nd! Players can explore four zones—including two completely new areas—and raise their character level. The update also introduces the Haranir Allied Race, a new Prey system, and the climactic battle against Xal’atath and the Devouring Host.

World of Warcraft: Midnight Twitch Rewards Available February 26

To mark the approaching launch of the new expansion, World of Warcraft is offering two special promotions on Twitch. Viewers can earn adorable Cuddly Alliance Blue and Horde Red Grrgle plushies for their in-game housing as Twitch Drops, and the Fishmonger May pet by supporting their favorite streamers. The best part? Fans won’t have to wait for the March 2nd release to get these items! Both campaigns start on February 26th, coinciding with early access for players who pre-ordered the Epic Edition of WoW: Midnight.

The Twitch Drop event is easy to participate in and a great freebie for any World of Warcraft player. Once it begins, just watch any Twitch channel streaming World of Warcraft for a total of four hours to unlock two adorable Cuddly Grrgle plushies for your game account.

  • Connect one’s Twitch and Battle.net accounts via the Connections page on Twitch
  • From February 26 at 10 AM PT to March 24 at 10 AM PT, watch four hours of any World of Warcraft Twitch streamer to earn:
    • Cuddly Alliance Blue Grrgle Housing decor
    • Cuddly Horde Red Grrgle Housing decor
  • Claim the drop from the Twitch inventory page
  • Both decor plushies should be added to the player’s Housing decor catalog within 24 hours

The Cuddly Alliance Blue Grrgle is a blue and gold version of the Cuddly Green Grrgle, which players could get as a free reward on Twitch during the pre-release update for World of Warcraft on January 20th. A Cuddly Horde Red Grrgle is also available, featuring crimson and black colors. Interestingly, even though these plushies represent the Alliance and Horde factions, you can display them in any player housing, no matter your faction or location in the game.

After the initial collection, you’ll probably be able to buy extra copies of these plushies using gold from Tuuran and Gabbi. They’re located near the Trading Post in both Stormwind and Orgrimmar and sell duplicate promotional items, like the Naturally Elegant Doormat from the World of Warcraft and Zillow collaboration.

In addition to the free decorations, a “Support a Streamer” promotion will also be available soon, but it does require a purchase. Once early access to World of Warcraft: Midnight begins, anyone who buys two subscriptions for any Twitch channel streaming World of Warcraft will receive the Fishmonger May pet. The streamers don’t even need to be playing the Midnight early access version to qualify – any World of Warcraft stream counts.

  • Connect one’s Twitch and Battle.net accounts via the Connections page on Twitch
  • From February 26 at 3 PM PT until March 26 at 3 PM PT, purchase or gift two Twitch subscriptions to one or more channels live-streaming World of Warcraft to earn the Fishmonger May pet
  • Once earned, the pet should be delivered to the connected World of Warcraft account’s collections page within 24 hours

Fishmonger May is a cute, blue seal pet with a purple coat, recently discovered in the game files alongside a similar pet named Fishstick Keith. While both pets have been linked to costs in the in-game shop for some time, this is the first time they’ve actually been obtainable. Players might eventually be able to purchase Fishmonger May at the Trading Post, but a current promotional offer lets streamers include her as a reward, ensuring a way to collect this unique battle pet.
