
Resident Evil Village has 20 hidden goats scattered throughout the game, and you can find them by shooting them. It’s important to collect these goats in the right order, as some areas become inaccessible later on. Don’t worry, though – we’ve mapped out all their locations for you!
This guide shows you where to find every Goat of Warding in Resident Evil Village. We’ve included precise map locations, broken down by chapter, so you can collect them all without missing any!
We’ve organized the Goats of Warding to match the order you discover them in the game, making it easy to find them as you progress. Remember to shoot each Goat of Warding to collect it!
Goat of Warding #1 (Graveyard, Village)

After the first werewolf attack in the Village, you’ll find the first Wardening Goat in the Graveyard. It’s standing on a wooden platform with candles on both sides.
Goat of Warding #2 (Church, Village)

You can save your game at a typewriter inside the Church, which is located in the Village Graveyard. A Wardening Goat can be found on top of the Church.
Goat of Warding #3 (Fallow Plot, Village)

Head north in the Fallow Plot area of the Village, but before you reach the gate to Luiza’s House, turn left and climb over the fence. Look towards the brick wall – you’ll find the Goat of Wardening sitting on top of it.
Goat of Warding #4 (Vineyard, Castle Dimitrescu)

Once you’ve gotten away from Heisenberg, flip the lever to open the way to the Vineyard. Inside, head to the left, staying near the scarecrows. In the northern part of the field, look for a Goat of Wardening resting on some rocks before you go to see the Duke.
Goat of Warding #5 (Distillery, Castle Dimitrescu)

While exploring Castle Dimitrescu, after you solve the puzzle in the Hall of Ablution, you’ll be able to go down into the Distillery. If you look southwest inside the Distillery, you’ll find a Goat of Wardening.
Goat of Warding #6 (Attic, Castle Dimitrescu)

Once you’ve solved the bell puzzle in Aetilier and climbed the ladder into the Attic, turn around to face the north wall. You’ll find the Goat of Warding there, ready to be shot.
Goat of Warding #7 (Lone Road, Village)

Once you’ve left Castle Dimitrescu, follow the Lone Road. Instead of heading into the Village, turn left at the drawbridge. Across from the bridge, you’ll find a small tunnel with a Goat of Warding inside.
Goat of Warding #8 (West Old Town, Village)

Go to the Village and walk south from the Maiden of War through the alleyway. Then, go east through the gate. You’ll see two buildings, and if you look at the small shack to the south, you’ll find a Goat of Warding resting on a metal sheet.
Goat of Warding #9 (Cemetery, Village)

Go to the Church in the Graveyard and use the Iron Insignia Key to unlock the door. Once inside, head southeast to find a Goat of Warding standing in the snow near a grave.
Goat of Warding #10 (Potter’s Field, Village)

After using the Four-Winged Key at the altar in the Village, follow the foggy path straight ahead until you come to a bridge. Once on the bridge, look to your left – you’ll see a Goat of Warding on another bridge in the distance.
Goat of Warding #11 (House Beneviento)

When you reach House Beneviento, don’t use the front door. Instead, head left into the garden. If you look at the iron fence, you’ll spot the Goat of Warding attached to the side.
Goat of Warding #12 (1st Windmill, Moreau’s Reservoir)

Once you’ve watched the scene with Chris, head past the building and the truck to find the first windmill. To find the Goat of Warding, walk around the windmill to the south – it’s sitting amongst the logs near the path.
Goat of Warding #13 (Reservoir)

You can find the Goat of Warding north of the Reservoir, while you’re running from Moreau. After you destroy the first cart, head down the path it was blocking. Look across from the fuse box – you’ll see the Goat of Warding on a post, near the broken windmill in the distance.
Make sure to get the Goat of Warding #13 before you get the Crank. If you don’t, the Goat will disappear, and you’ll have to reload an earlier version of your game.
Goat of Warding #14 (Bouthouse Post-Moreau)

Once you’ve defeated Moreau, head back to the boathouse where you first used the Boat Key. You’ll see a new area has opened up to the west, created by the damaged windmill. The Goat of Warding is standing amongst the rubble at the back of this broken windmill.
Goat of Warding #15 (Otto’s Mill, Village)

Head northeast from the Village Graveyard. Instead of going directly to Heisenberg’s Stronghold, go through the tall wheat fields to reach Otto’s Mill. You’ll find a Goat of Warding on an altar hidden beneath the mill, accessible by following the water flow.
Goat of Warding #15 (Stronghold)

Explore the Stronghold. After fighting off lycans inside, you’ll find a long spiral staircase leading down. At the bottom, look for a Goat of Warding hidden near some buckets, just before the opening in the wall.
Goat of Warding #17 (Grinder Shaft, Heisenberg’s Factory)

As you explore the B2 area of Heisenberg’s Factory, you’ll climb through a Ventilation Duct. Be careful—you’ll nearly get pulled into a turbine, which you’ll need to destroy to proceed. After landing, head south toward the Grinder Shaft. You’ll find a Goat of Warding near the edge of the barrier there.
Goat of Warding #18 (Elevator, B3, Heisenberg’s Factory)

On level B3, position yourself facing the elevator where Duke is located. Step back a few paces and look up – you’ll see a Goat of Warding on a red beam leading to level B1. You can also shoot this Goat of Warding from a short distance by observing the west side as you ride the elevator up to B1.
Goat of Warding #19 (Control Room, B1, Heisenberg’s Factory)

Okay, so I pushed further into Heisenberg’s Factory and ran into this weird mini-boss – seriously, the guy had a jet propeller for a face! After dealing with him, I kept going and found an office. If you check the east wall in there, there’s a vent you can crawl through. It leads to a hidden room, and inside, you’ll find a Goat of Warding chilling on a barrel. Definitely worth checking out!
Goat of Warding #20 (Megamycete Cave)
After completing the Heisenberg’s Factory chapter, you’ll find the final Goat of Warding. Once the cutscene with the Megamycete finishes, turn right. You’ll see a statue of a woman, and the Goat of Warding is located at its base.
