Super Battle Golf recently launched on Steam and is already proving popular, with high player numbers and positive reviews. It’s looking like it could be the next breakout co-op game on the platform. The game cleverly mixes golf with the fast-paced, chaotic elements found in the popular co-op game, Peak.
Brimstone, the team behind games like Overthrown and Lance a Lot, recently launched Super Battle Golf on Steam on February 19, 2026. Oro Interactive, known for publishing the popular co-op game Roadside Research, helped bring the game to market. What started as a fun idea from one of the studio’s artists quickly became a hit, selling over 100,000 copies and peaking at over 12,000 concurrent players in just a few days. Remarkably, the developers say it only took four and a half months to create.
Super Battle Golf is Steam’s Next Big Friendslop Game
Super Battle Golf is an online golf game for up to eight players, where everyone plays simultaneously. The goal is to be the first to get your ball in the hole, but you can also mess with your opponents’ shots along the way! Beyond the basic premise of competitive golf, the game includes power-ups and items you can use to create even more chaos – from bumping opponents with golf carts to calling in orbital lasers. With over 27 different courses available, Super Battle Golf is a truly chaotic and quickly popular game on Steam.

It’s easy to see why people are comparing Super Battle Golf to Peak. The games share a similar art style, and the characters could easily fit into the world of Peak. In fact, many Steam reviewers – who are giving the game “Overwhelmingly Positive” feedback – have made the connection, with one playfully calling it “peak gaming.” The reviews are incredibly positive, and the word “fun” appears repeatedly. Ultimately, Super Battle Golf is all about having a good time, and the developer, Brimstone, is benefiting from that. Currently, the game is on sale for 20% off, bringing the price down to $6.39 until February 26th.
