As you discover new insects in Heartopia, they’re automatically added to your Insect Collection Journal and help you level up your insect-catching skills. While you’ll find common bugs at the start, rarer insects – like the Crimson Marsh Glider, which appear during special events – are meant to challenge experienced players and show off your catching abilities.
If you’re aiming to complete your Insect Collection Journal in Heartopia, you absolutely need to find the Crimson Marsh Glider. This bright red insect is rare and doesn’t appear just anywhere on the island. This guide will give you all the information you need to track it down.
Where to Find the Crimson Marsh Glider in Heartopia
You can only find the Crimson Marsh Glider during the Bait the Insects event. It won’t appear if the event isn’t happening. You also need to reach at least Insect Catching Level 7 to even have a chance of finding it.
You need to reach level 7 in the Insect Catching hobby before you can start looking for the Crimson Marsh Glider.
Okay, so I’ve figured out how to find the Crimson Marsh Glider! It shows up once you’ve met both requirements, and the best part is, you can find it any time of day when there’s a rainbow! It’s pretty easy to recognize because of its really deep red color, but honestly, it’s still easy to zip right past if you’re rushing. You really have to slow down and carefully look around for it.
How to Catch the Crimson Marsh Glider
Like most insects, the Crimson Marsh Glider will quickly fly away if you move too fast. Rushing in and repeatedly using bubbles is the surest way to scare it off.
Try using the charged bubble capture method. Get your Insect Net ready and press and hold the bubble button to turn invisible. Then, carefully approach the Crimson Marsh Glider and allow the bubble to fill with energy. Once it’s fully charged and you’re close enough, release the bubble to capture it.
Okay, so seriously, leveling up my Insect Catching skill has been a lifesaver! It lets me snag bugs from way further away, which is awesome. And if you’ve got those tools from Naniwa – the Inflatable Insect Attractor and Sense Booster – definitely use them. They make finding and catching this particular bug SO much easier, honestly.
After you capture a Crimson Marsh Glider, it becomes part of your collection. You can then choose to sell it to Albert Jr. for Gold, or showcase it in your home Vivarium as a collectible trophy.
