Resident Evil Village clearly takes a lot of inspiration from Resident Evil 4, particularly in its atmosphere and how you manage your items. Like previous games, you can buy and sell things, and you’ll need Lei, the in-game currency, to get supplies and improve your weapons. The best way to earn money is by selling treasures, which are conveniently marked on your map. However, finding the ‘Treasure Under the Stronghold‘ is trickier – simply looking at the map won’t be enough.
The Treasure Under the Stronghold in Resident Evil 8 is hard to miss, but some players might still need help getting it. It appears on the map before you can reach it, which can be confusing. If you’re one of those players, here’s a simple guide to help you find it.
Resident Evil Village Treasure Under the Stronghold Location
To find the treasure hidden beneath the Stronghold in Resident Evil 8, you first have to complete the entire Stronghold section of the game. This area is much shorter than places like Castle Dimitrescu or House Beneviento. It’s all about fighting waves of Lycans, so be sure to gather a lot of ammo and explosives before heading there.
As soon as you enter the Stronghold, you’ll be attacked by many enemies. Defeat them, go inside the main building, and keep fighting. Eventually, you’ll face Urias, the large giant with a hammer who you first encountered at the start of the game.
Fighting Urias in RE8
Urias is a really durable enemy with a lot of health. He’ll also sometimes call in reinforcements to attack you. The arena where you fight him is small, but it has ammo boxes and Pipe Bombs you can use to your advantage, so be sure to grab them.
Let me tell you, if you’re facing Urias in RE8, the F2 Sniper Rifle is a total lifesaver! If you’ve been saving it, now’s the time to use it – you should have a good supply of ammo. Seriously, focus your shots on his face. And a tip that really helped me? Keep moving and lead him back and forth – it’s the best way to dodge his attacks. If he does manage to grab you, just remember to hold down the Block button – it’ll lessen the damage a lot.
If you have Flash Grenades, you can use them in the Grenade Launcher to temporarily stun Urias. The best time to do this is when he’s spinning around.
Guglielmo’s Plate Treasure
Once you defeat Urias, a passage will open. Follow it down, and you’ll find a tunnel with Guglielmo’s Plate displayed on a shelf to your left. This valuable item can be sold for 25,000 Lei – plenty of money to upgrade a few of your items.
If you haven’t found the treasure hidden within the Stronghold, you can return there by going to the mausoleum located near the church in the Maiden of War area. You’ll receive the Iron Insignia Key – which unlocks the way – immediately after completing the Stronghold.
