The mobile versions of Ball x Pit are launching at a great time for new players interested in trying a roguelike game. Even when it first came out, Ball x Pit had a lot to offer, with 16 characters to play as, 18 different balls, and tons of ways to evolve and combine them, which changes how the game feels each time you play. Because it’s a roguelike, the game is built to be highly replayable, so you can enjoy it again and again.

Ball x Pit received a big free update called the Regal Update on January 26th, adding two new characters, eight new balls, three new passive abilities, and a highly anticipated Endless Mode. The game is also getting two more major, free updates in 2026. The ‘Shadow’ update is planned for April, and the ‘Naturalist’ update will arrive in July. While publisher Devolver Digital and developer Kenny Sun haven’t shared all the details yet, both updates will introduce new characters, balls, evolutions, and buildings to the game.

In early December 2025, Ball x Pit celebrated a major milestone: one million copies sold. With the game soon to be available on both iPhones and Android phones, that number is expected to increase significantly.
