3 Yonko Level Female Characters In One Piece

The world of One Piece is now in the Great Pirate Era, a time that began with the death of the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. After his passing, pirates flooded the seas, all seeking the legendary treasure he left behind. Driven by the dream of finding this ultimate treasure, adventurers of all kinds took to the ocean.

The final arc of One Piece features many strong female characters navigating the seas. Among these pirates, the most powerful are known as the Yonko. Over the years, the author, Oda, has created several female characters at this Yonko level of strength, and we can expect even more to appear as the story concludes.

3. Big Mom Was An Emperor Of The Sea in One Piece

Among all the characters in One Piece, Charlotte Linlin, better known as Big Mom, is the only female to officially hold the title of a Yonko (one of the Four Emperors). From a young age, Linlin was incredibly powerful – so much so that her parents left her on Elbaf, hoping someone could help her. Even as a five-year-old, she could defeat the strongest giant warriors when angered by hunger. As she grew, Linlin’s strength continued to increase, and she ate the Soru Soru no Mi Devil Fruit. By the time she became known as Big Mom and joined the Rocks Pirates, her sheer power inspired fear throughout the seas. She also mastered all three types of Haki. After the Rocks Pirates disbanded 38 years ago, Linlin established her control over the seas and became one of the Four Emperors.

Linlin ruled for a long time but was ultimately defeated by the younger generation during the Wano Country arc. It’s important to remember that Law and Kid didn’t actually beat Big Mom in a fight; she fell from Onigashima and was then bombarded with bombs capable of massive destruction. Despite this, Linlin was still more powerful than both Law and Kid, and on par with Kaido.

2. Boa Hancock Is The Strongest Yonko Level Female Character In The Final Saga

Now that Big Mom has been defeated, Boa Hancock is widely considered the most powerful character in the world of One Piece. Though her strength is often overlooked, Hancock is a top-tier character, largely due to her Devil Fruit ability. She possesses the Mero Mero no Mi, which lets her turn anyone attracted to her into stone. This petrification isn’t limited to people; even objects can be affected, meaning no one and nothing is completely safe from her powers.

Even Blackbeard, one of the most powerful pirates and a Yonko, had to be stealthy when dealing with Boa Hancock, admitting he’d lose in a direct fight. This highlights just how incredibly strong she is. Beyond that, Boa Hancock is a master of all three types of Haki, a skill naturally strong within her tribe, the Kuja. She’s particularly gifted with Conqueror’s Haki, and her ability to combine this powerful Haki with her Devil Fruit powers makes her a truly formidable opponent, putting her at the level of a Yonko in the world of One Piece.

1. Yamato Stands Tall As A Top Tier

I’ve been watching the story of Wano unfold, and Yamato is truly an amazing character. They’ve taken on the role of protector, much like the legendary Kozuki Oden, and seem dedicated to watching over the samurai country. It’s incredible considering they were born as Kaido’s only child – that lineage clearly gives them immense power.

  • Yamato is incredibly powerful, first showing Conqueror’s Haki at just 8 years old. They later ate the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Okuchi no Makami, a legendary Devil Fruit that allows them to transform into a mythical wolf. Adding to their strength, Yamato also has Ancient Giant ancestry, evidenced by the horns on their head.

Yamato is exceptionally skilled in all forms of Haki. During the Wano Country arc, they demonstrated impressive control over Conqueror’s Haki, coating their body and even their weapon, Takeru, with it. This allowed Yamato to fight Kaido to a standstill and even injure him. Although still developing their full potential, Yamato is undoubtedly one of the strongest characters in One Piece, at the level of a Yonko.
