As outlined in Chapter 110, blue flames are thought to be Satan’s emblem when his realm, Assiah (symbolized by red flame), intersects with ours, the human world, and Gehenna, the Demon world, symbolized by black flame. The Blue Night originated as Satan embarked on his quest to locate Yuri who was near death’s door. In order to find her, Satan started to take control of various individuals, hoping it would lead him to her whereabouts. As Satan became increasingly fixated on Yuri, he grew convinced that she had deceived him after they made a vow to remain together. Since he couldn’t locate her, Satan, in his rage, began to transfer from one body to another in pursuit of her.
