Like the monsters, puzzles are a key part of the experience in Resident Evil Village. Some puzzles are quite challenging, while others are straightforward. The Stone Dais in the village ritual site is one of the simpler ones, but it’s more about unlocking progress than solving a complex riddle. You won’t be able to interact with it until you’ve advanced quite far in the game – specifically, you’ll need it to reach Heisenberg’s factory. If you’re unsure how to use the Stone Dais in Resident Evil Village, here’s a quick guide to help you out.
What to Do With the Stone Dais in Resident Evil 8
You can find the Stone Dais near the Duke, right by the Maiden of War statue. It has four slots, and to power it up, you need to collect all four pieces of Rose. This means defeating each of the village’s lords first. You’ll receive a flask containing a piece of Rose after winning each of these battles:
- Head Flask: Defeat Lady Dimitrescu at Dimitrescu Castle
- Legs Flask: Defeat Donna Beneviento at House Beneviento
- Arms Flask: Defeat Salvatore Moreau at the Reservoir
- Torso Flask: Defeat Urias at the Stronghold
After collecting all of the Rose flasks in Resident Evil 8, head to the Stone Dais at the Altar. Place each flask into the holder one at a time. The first flask will trigger a flashback from Rose’s point of view, and once you’ve inserted them all, the Stone Dais will transform into the Giant’s Chalice.
Entering Heisenberg’s Factory in RE8
Once you obtain the Giant’s Chalice, the braziers ahead will ignite, showing you the way to the Ritual Site. Place the chalice in the slot marked with the Umbrella symbol in the center of the area to trigger a cutscene. This will cause stone bridges to rise from the creek, creating a path from the village to the factory where you’ll find Heisenberg.
After you use the Giant’s Chalice, the main platform at the Ritual Site will transform into an elevator. It’ll take you down to a tunnel that leads right back to the stone bridge you saw earlier. From there, it’s a direct path to the factory, and a whole new type of enemy is waiting for you.
