ARC Raiders – Worth Your Salt Quest Bugged in New Shrouded Sky Update

The ARC Raiders game received a major update called Shrouded Sky on February 24th, introducing a new quest called ‘Worth Your Salt‘. The update also added a challenging new map condition called ‘Hurricane’ and some updated ARC Units designed to pursue players.

So, everyone and their dog rushed to the Spaceport map to try out the new ‘Worth Your Salt’ quest. But man, we all got stuck at the very last part – it was a total roadblock!

When players reached the final part of the quest, they found it couldn’t be completed. Frustrated, they turned to online forums for help, but when that didn’t work, they had no choice but to wait for the game developers to release a fix.

How is the Quest Broken?

As I’ve been playing ARC Raiders, I’ve found that quests are super important. They don’t just give you cool gear, but they also slowly reveal the story of the Raiders – the people who are trying to survive in this messed-up world after whatever happened. Basically, quests are how you get stronger and learn what’s going on.

Plus, starting the main story unlocks new series of quests, with even more missions becoming available as you progress. It’s really annoying to get stuck on a quest you can’t finish, particularly if you don’t have a lot of time to play.

Most missions in ARC Raiders follow a familiar pattern: travel to a location, gather an object or use a device, maybe defeat some hostile machines, and then return to Speranza to complete the task. This particular mission was straightforward – players just needed to go to the Rocket Assembly area on the Spaceport map and charge a battery.

Players discovered a frustrating problem right as they were finishing the quest: it was only solvable once. Charging the battery and preparing to deliver it was pointless if someone else had already completed the task. With over 20 players competing in each round, being the first to the crucial box was the only way to succeed.

Honestly, it was chaos. By the time we figured out what was going on, everyone was swarming around this one spot, frantically throwing down batteries because nothing was working. People were just rolling their eyes, like, seriously? How did they not test this with more than one player? It’s not how quests usually work in ARC Raiders, so it felt super out of place and broken.

Finding a Solution

This isn’t the first time players have faced a difficult quest in ARC Raiders. Many players remember how challenging it was to locate and loot the Deforester, especially with so many others competing for it at the same time.

The quest could only be finished by the first player to reach the box, and each round had more than 20 players competing.

After a player successfully installed the Powercells and completed the fire puzzle, the Deforester machine could no longer be used by other players, whether they were waiting for their turn or causing chaos nearby.

It looks like this solution is the same as the one from the last time. If you really need to finish “Worth Your Salt,” you’ll have to rely on chance with these next steps:

  • Spawn in at minute 30, and not halfway through a match.
  • Hope that you spawn near the Rocket Assembly.
  • Pray the other players aren’t doing the same thing as you.

While you can attack other players attempting the quest, it’s not a good option for those who prefer a more cooperative experience in ARC Raiders.

Some players believe this quest is actually easier during events that encourage map exploration, like treasure hunts, because people are already busy collecting items. If you’re stuck, trying it during one of those events might help. If not, you’ll likely have to wait for the game developers to release a fix.
