As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent in the Call of Duty universe, I can wholeheartedly attest to the allure and charm that weapon inspection holds for us gamers. In Black Ops 6, the developers have once again managed to elevate this feature, allowing us to marvel at our meticulously crafted loadouts more intimately than ever before.
In Black Ops 6, it’s clear that weapons are the true stars, and they’ve never looked better! The game blends new elements with cherished classics, and we’re thrilled to see the comeback of weapon inspection. However, there’s a small twist this time – the controls for examining your weapon and camo have been tweaked slightly compared to what players might recall from previous Call of Duty games.
However, even though you can admire your striking weapon skins and camouflages, it’s important to note that the Weapon Inspection animation has certain restrictions. Continue reading to uncover these limitations and learn how to inspect your weapon in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Inspecting Your Weapon in Black Ops 6
In Black Ops 6, players can take a closer look at their weapons as their characters perform an unloading animation, which provides a satisfying view after putting in the effort to unlock it. Notably, the method of inspecting the weapon has experienced some minor adjustments within the game.
If you’re using a console, keep the button on your directional pad (D-Pad) pressed and held down. If you’re playing on a PC, press the ‘I’ key on your keyboard instead. Some emotes should appear on the left side of your screen. Press the Left button or the ‘I’ key again to initiate the inspection animation.
As a gamer, I can customize where my weapon-check buttons are positioned for maximum convenience during gameplay, making it effortless for me to quickly assess and switch weapons when needed.
Limitations With Weapon Inspection
During BO6 animations related to your weapon, you’ll find that you’re unable to fire, but inspecting your weapon won’t stop you from doing so. As you scrutinize the magazine of your SMG, you can continue to engage enemies if they’re within view. It’s crucial to note though, that there will be a slight pause when switching back to shooting after inspecting.
Technically speaking, there may be a brief pause when the game switches from one scene to another, such as from an inspection animation to a fierce gunfight. This delay might seem lengthy, but it’s usually just a second or two at the most. However, even this short interruption can be significant during high-stakes, life-or-death situations.
You can still get shot while checking out your weapon, so don’t get too distracted by your fancy skins. This is why it’s a good idea to inspect your weapons in safe places where enemies are less likely to appear. And just to quickly mention, you can’t inspect your weapon if you’re sprinting or holding something else.
