Sanctums are special, sacred places in the world of Crimson Desert, often associated with witches. You can assist them by purifying sanctums that have been corrupted by cultists. As you explore the vast world of Pywel, you’ll discover many of these locations. Here’s a guide to finding all the sanctums and how to get to them in Crimson Desert.
All Sanctums Location In Crimson Desert
Crimson Desert features 16 sanctums in total. You can find a complete list of them under the ‘Sanctums’ tab within the ‘Challenges’ section of the game. Keep in mind that you need to encounter the witch associated with a sanctum before you can fully cleanse it. While you can defeat enemies and take control of a sanctum, you won’t be able to cleanse it until you’ve met its witch.
Sanctum Of Temperance Location
- Witch Of Wisdom
You’ll find the Sanctum of Temperance south of Unicorn Cliff, inside the Grace Estate in Hernand. To get there, try heading south from the Nas River and following the dirt path. Once you arrive, you’ll need to locate two fusion cores to purify the Sanctum.
Sanctum Of Absolution Location
- Witch Of Wisdom
You can find the Sanctum of Absolution south of Scholastone. Reaching it requires climbing a mountain, but the area is well-lit with Abyss Nexuses and Cressets. To free the Sanctum, you’ll need to defeat Antumbra’s Sword in addition to regular enemies. Then, find and install the missing fusion cores into the designated slots to cleanse the area.
Sanctum Of Benediction Location
- Witch Of Wisdom
The Sanctum of Benediciton is located west of Hernand, directly below the letter ‘E’ in ‘Hernand’ on the map. You can reach it by starting in Hernand City and following the dirt path heading slightly northwest. Once you defeat the enemies inside and cleanse the sanctum, the Witch of Wisdom will reward you.
Sanctum Of Penitence Location
- Witch Of Wisdom
The Sanctum of Penitence is near the Sanctum of Temperance. To find it, go southeast from Unicorn Cliff along the dirt path. You won’t find a boss here – just defeat the cultists and collect the fusion cores.
Sanctum Of Exaltation Location
- Witch Of Kindness
The Sanctum of Exaltation is east of Silver Wolf Mountain. You can get there by following the dirt path northwest from Pailune. This sanctum is associated with the Witch of Kindness, so find her before you try to cleanse it.
Sanctum Of Solace Location
- Witch Of Kindness
The Sanctum of Solace is located just southwest of Pailune City, or east of the Witch’s House. A good landmark to aim for is the letter ‘A’ on the Pailune map. Once you find it, you’ll need to defeat Antumbra’s Staff and the cultists who guard it. After that, find and activate the fusion core to fully cleanse the Sanctum.
Sanctum Of Deliverance Location
- Witch Of Kindness
You can find the Sanctum of Deliverance in Pailune, southeast of the Stormtalon Ridge mountains. It’s connected to other areas by a dirt path, making it fairly accessible. Once you get there, collect the fusion cores and then cleanse the Sanctum.
Sanctum Of Atonement Location
- Witch Of Kindness
To reach the Sanctum of Atonement, return to Hernand and head north, just past the first ‘A’ on the map. Once there, defeat the enemies and then cleanse the sanctum.
Sanctum Of Devotion Location
- Witch Of Humility
You can find the Sanctum of Devotion west of Dewhaven in Demeniss. It’s located right next to a dirt path, so just follow the path to get there.
Sanctum Of Veneration Location
- Witch Of Humility
Journey to Delesyia and head towards the Blue Thicket to find the entrance to the Sanctum of Veneration. Defeat the cultists inside and purify the sanctum.
Sanctum Of Faith Location
- Witch Of Humility
Travel south from the Blue Thicket in Delesyia to reach The Grey Forest, where you’ll find the Sanctum of Faith. Activate the Abyss Nexus nearby – it will make getting back here simpler in the future.
Sanctum Of Oblation Location
- Witch Of Humility
Head across the water to the nearby Delesyian area and follow the dirt path. You’ll find the Sanctum of Oblation there, and you can get the fusion core you need to finish the quest.
Sanctum Of Expiation Location
- Witch Of Strength
You’ll find the Sanctum of Expiation east of Drakesfall Gorge, inside the Azerian Estate. Turn on the generator using the fusion cores to purify the sanctum.
Sanctum Of Renunciation Location
- Witch Of Strength
I’m so excited to explore the Crimson Desert! I’ve heard there’s this amazing place called the Sanctum of Renunciation, and it’s northeast of Drywind Valley, near Tashkalp. I definitely want to check it out when I’m there!
Sanctum Of Revelation Location
- Witch Of Strength
Head northeast from the Serpent Marsh and go into the Sanctum of Revelation. Inside, you’ll need to defeat the cultists and Antumbra’s Spear. Once you’ve freed the sanctum, purify it.
You’ll find the Witch of Strength in the Crimson Desert, but you can only start clearing her sanctums after progressing a ways into the main story.
Sanctum Of Mortification Location
- The Veiled Witch
To finish the Fragments of Darkness quest, you’ll need to cleanse the Sanctum of Mortification. This location is in Demeniss, northwest of the Golden Plains, within the Byron Estate. However, you must start a specific main quest before you can cleanse it.
