If you have children under 16, you’ve probably heard of Bluey. It’s become incredibly popular, and many adults enjoy it too! This hit animated series is now coming to Disneyland.
Disneyland’s newest show, ‘Bluey’s Best Day Ever,’ brings the beloved animated series to life with a vibrant, interactive experience featuring music, dancing, and colorful scenery. It’s quickly become a hit with guests, offering a fun and energetic break where families can sing along, enjoy some laughs, and playfully tire out their little ones before continuing their park adventures.
Bluey’s Best Day Ever is Disneyland’s Latest Live Experience
Disneyland’s Fantasyland Theatre, previously home to the Lion King show and part of Pixar Fest, is now hosting “Bluey’s Best Day Ever.” The show, featuring live music and dancing, will be performed five times daily in the 1,800-seat theater for guests of all ages. We recently got a sneak peek at the show, along with a taste of the new Bluey-themed snacks and a look at the available merchandise.
I was so excited for the Bluey’s Best Day Ever show, and it didn’t disappoint! They actually do the show twice each day, which is great. Bluey and Bingo aren’t alone, though – they’re joined by a really talented group of singers, dancers, and performers who help lead everyone through the whole experience. Some of them start things off on stage with a quick, fun song, and then others come right out into the audience to get everyone up and dancing in front of the seats. It was a fantastic way to get us all involved!
Both versions of Bluey use the same catchy theme song, but the short scenes within each episode are different. They both include video clips featuring popular characters like Snickers and Rusty on the sides of the screen, and they also have a portable screen that lets even more characters appear – it’s like an interactive game show and feels like a fun party!
Disneyland’s parks have always featured great live shows, and the new Bluey’s Best Day Ever is among the best. While it’s geared more towards families than shows like Rogers The Musical, adults will still have a good time. The show features excellent music, cleverly uses the entire stage to involve the audience, and has a really immersive set design. Even if you’re not familiar with Bluey, you’re likely to enjoy it!
Bluey Themed Food is Playful and Delicious
Along with the Bluey’s Best Day Ever show, Disneyland is offering special Bluey-themed food and merchandise. Guests can find new dishes, both savory and sweet, at Troubadour Tavern.
The Pizza Girls Baked Potato is exactly what it sounds like – a fully loaded baked potato with pizza toppings such as pepperoni and sausage, finished with a drizzle of Alfredo sauce. Fans of Troubadour Tavern will be happy to know this potato lives up to their famously delicious baked potatoes. The Bluey-inspired menu also features a super cute mini hot dog, a “magic asparagus” which is actually a tasty white chocolate-covered pretzel, a tart and refreshing lime ice block drink perfect for photos, and a delicious Pavlova Parfait for dessert.
Everything on the menu was delicious, but the Poffertjes were my absolute favorite! These fluffy Dutch baby pancakes are topped with condensed milk and powdered sugar. Disneyland is known for its amazing (and generous!) desserts, and these definitely didn’t disappoint. If you love sweets, you’ll love these!
In Case You Didn’t Own Enough Bluey Merch
While there isn’t a huge amount of Bluey merchandise available right now, there’s still plenty to get excited about! Disneyland fans can find a Bluey sipper cup and popcorn bucket, plus some really cute shirts and sweaters. There’s also a pin set, collectible figures, and a headband set – which will likely grow if the show becomes even more popular.
If you’re visiting Disneyland for the Bluey celebration, remember there’s tons of other family fun to enjoy! Mickey’s Toontown, right next door, feels just as bright and playful as the Bluey show, and it’s home to the exciting Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway ride. You can also find classics like “it’s a small world” and all the beloved rides of Fantasyland, like Peter Pan and Dumbo. While Bluey is a great draw, don’t forget about all the traditional Disney magic. Plus, adults can still enjoy the Food & Wine Festival happening at California Adventure – it’s a perfect excuse to grab a bite and a drink!
The new Bluey’s Best Day Ever experience is already very popular, proving how beloved the Bluey brand is. During a preview event, kids enjoyed dancing and exploring, but the first official day was so busy that organizers focused on accommodating as many visitors as possible.
While the parks might get less crowded eventually, don’t let that stop you from visiting with young children. A trip to Disneyland is already magical, and adding a little Bluey-themed fun can make it even more special.
