In a podcast discussion, Zhao opened up about his personal experiences during his time away from public scrutiny. Notably, he missed interacting with people the most. It’s worth mentioning that the founder of Binance was indicted for Bank Secrecy Act violations and eventually reached a plea agreement with the authorities.
He lamented that he was the first to serve jail time for this violation. The Binance founder added that there were other high-profile cases, such as the $1.8 billion fine on TD Bank, yet no person was charged for this fiasco.
Zhao Maintains He’s No Longer Involved With Binance Operations
In that podcast, CZ discussed extensively about his association and future possibilities with the exchange he founded. Additionally, he mentioned that while he continues to be a significant shareholder, he is no longer part of the management team.
He also shot down the reports that he was banned from managing cryptocurrency exchanges for a “lifetime.” Zhao added that a ban was not included in last year’s plea agreement.
He mentioned that his attention is currently shifted towards various other endeavors, such as the Giggle Academy, and disclosed his involvement in AI, blockchain, and biotech industries. Importantly, Zhao made it clear that he has lost interest in resuming operational duties.
Zhao Remains Optimistic About Crypto’s Future
Regarding the cryptocurrency market, Zhao expressed a continued sense of optimism for the sector’s future expansion. At the same time, he advised crypto owners and investors to be aware of potential risks and fluctuations that might occur in the near future.
Later on, Zhao switched the conversation towards Bitcoin‘s pattern of advancement over a four-year cycle. Ultimately, during his speech, the CEO of Binance expressed his optimistic outlook on the progress being made in regulatory matters to the audience.
Zhao And His Plans For Giggle Academy
In a gradual shift of focus, Zhao is moving away from Binance and instead, is diving into various other areas, including Giggle Academy. He described this latest venture as an educational project aimed at providing digital learning opportunities to over a billion individuals who lack or have limited access to basic education.
Zhao mentioned that the project would use a combination of artificial intelligence and human teachers to develop engaging lessons that can be accessed through various devices.
