Chainsaw Man Officially Ends & Seals Part 3’s Fate

The popular manga Chainsaw Man has unexpectedly concluded with the release of Chapter 232, titled “Thank You, Chainsaw Man.” While some plotlines and character developments remain unresolved, creator Tatsuki Fujimoto has brought the series to a firm ending, with no indication of a third part. The final chapter offers no hints of a continuation, and the story feels complete now that Pochita has reset the timeline, giving Denji a fresh start.

The ending of Chainsaw Man Part 2 is likely to be remembered as one of the most debated manga conclusions in recent years, especially given the often-criticized endings from Shonen Jump. While the finale carries significant meaning, it feels hurried, as if the author, Tatsuki Fujimoto, was eager to finish the series. The extended conflict between Denji and Yoru didn’t quite reach a satisfying resolution.

Chainsaw Man Chapter 232 is the Manga’s Series Finale

Unlike the first part of Chainsaw Man, which concluded with news of a continuation, the second part appears to be truly finished. Chapter 232 seems to be the final chapter, and it’s unlikely Tatsuki Fujimoto will add to the story now that Denji has traveled back in time. While the chapter does tie up some storylines, it leaves a few details unresolved.

Chapter 232 of Chainsaw Man concludes the story of Denji, Pochita, and the Chainsaw Man. It’s interesting to consider how Pochita prevented Denji from becoming the Chainsaw Man again, seemingly to give him a better life – a choice the chapter does support. However, the final chapter feels rather brief, and Denji doesn’t appear significantly happier than he was throughout the series. This makes it difficult to understand the overall message or feeling that the author, Fujimoto, intended readers to take away from the ending.

Chainsaw Man Ends With No Part 3 Announcements

Many viewers were hoping the end of Chainsaw Man Part 2 would include news about Part 3. This is because Part 2 left several plot threads unresolved. We didn’t see Denji reunite with Power, Nayuta’s future remained unclear, the idea of Primal Fears wasn’t fully developed, and the series hinted at an apocalypse during the final fight between Denji and Yoru, but that apocalypse never actually happened.

Rather than continuing the story threads from the first part of Chainsaw Man, Tatsuki Fujimoto chose to have Pochita wipe the timeline clean. This sent Denji back to the beginning of the series, where he’s reunited with Power and Nayuta. He also prevents Asa from being ostracized at school by stopping her from killing Bucky. Ultimately, Denji and Power team up once more as Devil Hunters, now working for the Control Devil.

Chapter 232 of Chainsaw Man, titled “Thank You, Chainsaw Man,” concludes with a clear “The End” message, signaling a true finale. This is different from the end of Chapter 97, which only revealed it was the end of the first part. Based on everything we know, Chainsaw Man has finished its run and won’t be continuing with a Part 3.
