Golden Star, the mechanical dragon with wings, doesn’t stay in one place for very long, making it hard to attack with swords or arrows. Fortunately, there’s a much simpler way to destroy it.

To defeat Golden Star, it’s crucial to use your surroundings. There are Marni Spears scattered around the boss arena that you can throw at Golden Star, and we’ll show you exactly how and when to do it to quickly defeat this massive, fire-breathing enemy.

How to Beat Golden Star in Crimson Desert

  • Around the edges of the boss arena, you will find metal poles that are glowing blue.
  • Approach these poles and you can interact with them to get Marni’s Spear.
  • With Marni’s Spear, use L2/LT to aim at Golden Star, and then R2/RT to throw it.
  • Marni’s Spear will deal little damage, but a lot of Stun.
  • You need to run around the room, dodging Golden Star’s fire attacks, and throw Marni Spears at him until his Stun Meter fills and forces him to drop into the arena.
  • Once Golden Star is in the arena, you can use Spirit to perform a Finisher (R1+R2), or you can spam attack him with your weapon until he gets back up and flies in the air.
  • Repeat the process of using Marni Spears, making him fall down once his Stun is filled, and then hitting him while he’s down, until he eventually dies.
  • Don’t worry about missing your Marni Spear shot, as they will automatically regenerate as the battle goes on, so just stay healed up with Recovery Items, prepare to roll out of the way of his fire attacks, and keep throwing those spears.
