ARC Raiders: How to Apply Gas, Stun, and Burn Status (For Science!)

You’ll earn most trophies in ARC Raiders simply by playing the game, but a few are trickier and require specific preparation. The “For Science!” trophy is one of these – it needs you to be affected by Burn, Gas, and Stun all at the same time. This won’t happen by chance during regular gameplay, so you’ll need to intentionally set it up with the right gear. The following guide will show you exactly how to do this quickly and efficiently to unlock the trophy.

How to Get the For Science! Trophy/Achievement in ARC Raiders

In ARC Raiders, you’ll need a Jolt Mine, Gas Grenade, and Blaze Grenade. You can buy one of each Gas Grenade and Jolt Mine from Apollo every day. To get the Blaze Grenade, go to the Explosives Station and craft it using 1 Explosive Compound and 2 Oils. Once you have all three, put them in your inventory. Alternatively, if you prefer to save your Coins, you can craft both the Jolt Mine and Gas Grenade if you have enough resources.

You can start a match with all your preferred gear if you plan to keep playing, but if you only want the trophy, it’s quicker to bring just these specific items and then give up after you’ve earned it. Once the match begins, make sure to equip all three items so they’re easily accessible through the radial menu.

To start, place the Jolt Mine on the ground. Right away, throw a Gas Grenade at your feet. Before the gas wears off, throw a Blaze Grenade on top of both the mine and yourself. This will set off the mine, stunning you, while the other grenades apply gas and burn effects, giving you all three at the same time and earning you the trophy.

If you have all your gear, you can keep playing, collect items, and escape using the elevator or hatch. If not, you can just give up after getting the achievement and start a new game.
