The ‘Annabella’s Request‘ quest in Crimson Desert requires you to catch a Tench using a fishing rod and deliver it to Annabella’s assistant. This is one of 16 quests that make up the ‘Tales of the Hernandian Merchants’ faction questline, with other quests available from characters like Turnali, Renee, and Rhett. Where to Find Annabella in Crimson Desert
If you’re looking for Annabella in Crimson Desert, go north of Hernand Town. To see a red X on your map showing her location, open your Journal from the menu and go to Faction Quests. Find the Hernand Commissions, then select the quest to turn tracking on. (Press A on Xbox or X on PlayStation 5.) This will make it much easier to find and finish the quest.
Annabella needs your help creating a beautiful, eye-catching saddle. She wants you to find a Tench – a fish known for its shimmering scales – to use in the design. Luckily, she’ll provide you with a fishing rod, so you won’t have to find one yourself!
Where to Find Tench in Crimson Desert
Equipping the Rod
If you’re still following the quest, open your map. You’ll see a new red X on a lake north of Annabella’s shack. The lake where you’ll find Tench is located under a bridge, and you can see exactly where it is in the picture above.
Once you arrive, there are actually two ways to get your hands on a Tench:
- You can simply start swimming in the water and grab the fish with your bare hands. We managed to catch a Tench on our first try without needing a rod.
- Or you can equip the fishing rod and try your luck that way.
To get your fishing rod ready, hold the left direction button to open your weapon selection wheel. Swap your bow for the fishing rod by pressing RT/LT (or R2/L2). Then, hold L2/LT and release to cast your line. When a fish bites, use the left stick to pull the rod in the opposite direction it’s going. As the fish tires, turn the right stick clockwise to reel it in.
How to Submit the Tench to Complete Annabella’s Request
Many players are getting stuck on Annabella’s Request in Crimson Desert because the goal isn’t what it seems. You actually need to deliver the fish to Annabella’s assistant, not Annabella herself, and the assistant is located much farther away than Annabella’s hut.
You can find her assistant’s location in the image – it’s south of you, close to Anvil Hill and Unicorn Cliff. Don’t forget to enable tracking; this will show you precisely where to go in the game.
What’s the Reward for Completing Annabella’s Request?
Taking the fish to her assistant will reward you with the following:
