The Frozen Anguish is a distinctive two-handed sword, covered in spikes and featuring icy designs. This guide will show you exactly where to find it, along with all the details about the weapon.
You can find the Frozen Anguish sword at the Spire of Frost. We’ve included some tips below to help you reach it safely, as it can be a dangerous place. You’ll also find the weapon’s stats so you can decide if it’s right for you.
Because you get Frozen Anguish from the Spire of Frost, it’s a good idea to get some armor that protects against the cold first. We’ve got a guide to the complete Frostcursed Plate Set to help you stay safe in those freezing temperatures.
How to Get Frozen Anguish Sword in Crimson Desert
- Frozen Anguish can be obtained from the Spire of Frost, in the far north region of Demeniss (marked on the map above).
- The main entrance up the stairs is locked, so simply use Turning Slash (R1+R2) on the lantern outside the door and then light it up by interacting with it.
- With the door now open, head forward and look under the spiral staircase to find the Treasure Chest that contains the Frozen Anguish sword.
Lighting the lanterns will cause flying enemies to appear. These enemies can be challenging, especially if you’re at a lower level, but we have a guide to help you defeat them. If that doesn’t work, you can always try healing yourself and running away.
Is the Frozen Anguish Sword Worth It in Crimson Desert?
| Type | Two-Handed Weapon |
|---|---|
| Attack | 25 |
| Attack Speed | Lv 1 |
| Refinement | 4 |
| Abyss Gears | Stamina Siphon Lv 1 Attack Speed 1 Attack 1 Empty Empty |
Frozen Anguish is a solid sword with good base damage. While it doesn’t need upgrades to be effective, it’s disappointing that it doesn’t have a special frost attack built in.
You can find the Frozen Anguish at almost any time during your playthrough, though getting to it can be challenging because of the enemies in the Spire of the Frost. However, we think it’s worth the effort – after all, looking powerful is part of what makes it so appealing, and this item definitely delivers on that front.
If you don’t like the Abyss Gears in your sword, you can swap them out for Witch Gears instead!
