Crimson Desert offers a huge range of colors players can create using dyes, but finding the recipes and dyes themselves can be tricky. Don’t worry though – we’ve tracked down where to find Black Dye!
If you’re aiming for the look of a sleek, all-black knight, you’ll need to find the “Deep Red Dye” at the Ford Cabin, which is located north of Hernand in the Hook Rapids. Don’t let the name fool you – this dye actually creates the all-black color you want, and we’ll explain why later.
Where to Find Black Dye in Crimson Desert
- Black Dye can be found in the Ford Cabin of the Hook Rapids, in the north territory of Hernand.
- Take the ladder up inside the Ford Cabin, and you’ll see the “???” bottle on a table. When picking this item up, it’ll place into your inventory as “Deep Red Dye”, but it is indeed the Black Dye.
- Inside the Ford Cabin, you’ll find some Bleed Bandits, but these won’t be a threat.
- You can either grab the Deep Red Dye and leave or clear out the camp to liberate it. Either way, it’s time to actually use the dye.
How to Use Black Dye in Crimson Desert
- After picking up the Dee Red Dye, head into your inventory and select “Use” (X/A).
- This will allow you to learn the Deep Red Dye, and now, all Dyehouse Merchants you meet will be able to use this dye.
- You can find a Dyehouse at the Hernand Farmouse in the image above.
- The Black Dye is located on the bottom left section of the Hernandian Dyes, and you can use it across armors, horse gear, and more.
