Xbox Game Pass subscribers were already aware of most of the games coming in March 2026, but it’s now official: Super Meat Boy 3D will be available on the service starting March 31st. After a price increase last year that some found controversial, Microsoft needs to consistently add exciting new games on day one to maintain subscriptions to the Ultimate tier.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the most complete version of the service, giving you access to all available games. This includes everything from the standard and PC Game Pass tiers, plus new releases on the day they come out, and additional benefits. Coming soon to Game Pass Ultimate on March 31st is Super Meat Boy 3D.

The highly anticipated Super Meat Boy 3D will launch on March 31st and will be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers from day one. A new trailer showcased during the recent Xbox Partner Preview confirmed the game will maintain the notoriously difficult gameplay of the original Super Meat Boy. Whether the transition from 2D to 3D will be successful remains to be seen, but the gameplay appears polished. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members can play the full game at no extra cost.

It’s perfect that Super Meat Boy 3D is launching on Xbox Game Pass right away, given the series’ strong connection with Xbox. The first Super Meat Boy was initially available exclusively on Xbox 360’s Xbox Live Arcade and received incredibly positive reviews, with many calling it one of the best games ever on the service. Considering how well the original did on Xbox 360, releasing Super Meat Boy 3D on Game Pass from day one is a natural fit.
Before the unexpected announcement that Super Meat Boy 3D was coming to Game Pass, players thought Nova Roma would be the last game added to the service in March 2026. Nova Roma is a city-building game with a unique twist – you also have to appease the Roman gods! It’s available to play now for PC Game Pass subscribers through the Game Preview program.
In addition to Super Meat Boy, a few more games are scheduled to be added to Game Pass in March 2026. The Long Dark will be available again on March 30th for Game Pass Premium, PC, and Ultimate members. Resident Evil 7 is also coming to Xbox Game Pass on March 31st, with the same access for those tiers.
Five new games have been announced for Xbox Game Pass in April 2026. Players can look forward to Barbie Horse Trails on April 2nd and Final Fantasy 4 on April 7th. Replaced, Kiln, and Aphelion will be available on Game Pass from day one, launching on April 14th, 23rd, and 28th, respectively. Although the complete list of April 2026 games isn’t available yet, it looks like it will be a very full month for the service.
