Warzone Black Ops 6 Season 1 release date
The initial season for Warzone, under the Black Ops 6 umbrella, is set to kick off on November 14, approximately at 10 AM Pacific Time (PT), 1 PM Eastern Time (ET), and 6 PM Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
The downloadable update brings a plethora of new content to the battle royale as well as Black Ops 6. Warzone Season 1 will include some huge gameplay, UI, and weapon changes too, as the devs aim to bring the battle royale more in line with BO6.
Keep in mind that this update will introduce the freshly launched Season 1 Battle Pass for Black Ops 6, brimming with novel weapons, Operators, and additional prizes.
New Area 99 map arrives
In the first season of Warzone, a freshly introduced Resurgence map entitled “Area 99” makes its appearance. This new battleground shares the same secretive facility as the multiplayer maps Nuketown and Warhead. Area 99 is essentially a tribute to the legendary map from the original Black Ops that first debuted there.
In addition to Area 99, both Urzikstan and Rebirth Island are set to make a return. However, you should note that the version of Urzikstan coming back won’t include the Superstore.
Black Ops 6 Omnimovement & guns in Warzone
Both Omnimovement and Black Ops 6’s arsenal of weapons will be brought to Warzone in Season 1.
In simpler terms, this update introduces a brand-new movement system for players to navigate freely, enabling them to run, glide, and roll in all directions. Additionally, equipment, guns, and perks from Black Ops 6 will be integrated into the battle royale mode, increasing the total number of weapons to 177. Among these, there are 7 new weapons coming with the first season of Black Ops 6, such as the Krig C and Saug models.
In Black Ops 6, it seems like the new arsenal is going to outshine its predecessors, making it less likely for us gamers to rely on the firepower from Modern Warfare 2 and 3. It’s safe to say that our old favorites might take a backseat this time around.
Warzone Ranked Play arrives in-season
The developers have mentioned that the Ranked Play mode for Warzone is expected to be released during the ongoing season, which could possibly correspond to the mid-season update.
In this game, it’s expected to adopt a familiar structure, much like past battles in the battle royale genre and Call of Duty Multiplayer. The players will ascend through various Skill Levels and gather Rank Points as they excel in their performance.
Looting changes
In the upcoming changes for Warzone, Backpacks will no longer be available due to the integration with Black Ops 6. Instead, the inventory system will revert to a more traditional format, featuring designated slots for your gear and equipment.
It appears that satchels are making a comeback! There’s going to be an Armor Satchel that boosts your capacity for Armor Plates, and a Munitions Satchel that enables you to hold more ammunition.
Black Ops 6 progression carries over to Warzone
In the upcoming update, both The Prestige and Mastery Camos system will join Warzone. Players participating in battle royale matches should expect their ranks to be reset back to their Black Ops Cold War level. This exciting change offers a fresh opportunity for players to earn an all-new collection of Mastery Camos exclusively within Warzone.
