The First Berserker Khazan Reveals Player Stats to Celebrate First Year Anniversary

A year can bring a lot of changes – like exploring new countries, making friends, learning a skill, or even discovering a new favorite game. And that’s what The First Berserker: Khazan is celebrating today!

It’s been a full year since Neople released their game, and it quickly became a favorite among fans of challenging action games – despite a few incredibly frustrating moments! Now, the developers want to celebrate this milestone with players and give us a glimpse of what’s coming next.

A Relentless Quest for Vengeance (and Statistics)

To mark the one-year anniversary of the game The First Berserker: Khazan, the developers shared interesting stats about how players have experienced Khazan’s story of revenge.

A recent infographic celebrating the game’s anniversary reveals that players have failed over 273 million times – a fitting number for a challenging game in the style of the Souls series.

Looking at how players die, the most common causes – other than being directly attacked – are falling, negative status effects, and traps. It’s a classic way to go, and I can definitely see why falling is so common!

The infographic showed that the most dangerous enemies are the Pincer Spider, followed by the Lunatic Destroyer and the Wild Bear. When it comes to defense, players most often used Spears, Dual Wield weapons, and Greatswords. Surprisingly, Greatswords weren’t the most popular choice, as they’re usually preferred in similar games.

Players have failed over 273 million times – a fitting number for a challenging game like this one, and exactly what you’d expect from a good Soulslike title.

The game also has some amazing stats – players have actually beaten 43 bosses without using any weapons! That’s right, they fought these tough enemies with just their fists. Neople didn’t share who these incredible players were or which bosses they defeated, but I’d love to meet one and ask them why they even tried it!

The studio celebrated a successful first year for the game and hinted at future updates. In a statement, Creative Director Junho Lee thanked players for taking on the game’s challenges and assured them the team is developing something even more exciting.

Lee shared that the team is deeply motivated to build something even more enjoyable and innovative for everyone. While they look forward to future projects, he emphasized that the Khazan story still has a lot more to offer.

He didn’t share specifics about upcoming content, but I’m excited and hoping it will offer fans many more hours of challenging gameplay! The First Berserker: Khazan is currently available on PC (through Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
