With so many TV shows and movies available over the last few decades, it’s easy for some great series to get overlooked. One of those hidden gems is the 2011 sitcom Suburgatory. Over three seasons and 57 episodes, the show was funny, smart, and genuinely touching, earning it a loyal following.

Despite being unexpectedly canceled and never finding a consistent home on streaming, Suburgatory has faded from many viewers’ memories, which is a shame because it’s a fantastic sitcom. The sitcom Suburgatory follows George and Tessa as they adjust to life among the privileged residents of Chatswin, a town where appearances and social status are everything. Tessa’s witty observations and George’s down-to-earth perspective provide plenty of laughs as they navigate this unfamiliar world. The show’s humor comes from its playful critique of suburban conformity – a theme explored in other sitcoms like Malcolm in the Middle and Surviving Suburbia.
