One Piece: Every Known Devil Fruit Without A User

Devil Fruits are the most common and important source of power in the world of One Piece. Throughout the series, many different and incredibly strong Devil Fruits have appeared, granting their users some of the most powerful abilities seen in anime.

Several Devil Fruits that were previously featured in One Piece are no longer seen in the current story. While many more could exist, we’ll focus on the ones that disappeared along with the characters who possessed them. Let’s take a look at these fruits now.

The Sara Sara no Mi, Model: Axolotl Was Last Seen On Punk Hazard

Type: Zoan

The Punk Hazard arc had some truly shocking moments and big reveals that set the stage for what happened next in the story. One of these was the discovery that Caesar had given the Sara Sara no Mi, a Devil Fruit that transformed into an Axolotl, to a large blob of jelly. This jelly eventually grew into a massive Axolotl, and it became known as Smiley.

Sadly, Smiley died at the end of the Punk Hazard arc when the island was destroyed. The special Devil Fruit he ate, which allowed him to transform into an axolotl, hasn’t reappeared, leading many to think a new one will eventually grow naturally somewhere in the world.

The Yuki Yuki no Mi Died With Monet

Type: Logia

Early in the One Piece story, Logia-type Devil Fruits were considered the strongest because most characters didn’t yet know how to counter them. Even the less powerful Logia fruits were incredibly strong, like Monet’s abilities seen during the Punk Hazard arc.

Monet possessed the Logia fruit, giving her the power to become and control snow, making her a dangerous opponent for Tashigi, and she nearly defeated her on several occasions. Despite this, Zoro quickly defeated Monet. Later, Law stole her heart, and she ultimately died on Punk Hazard.

The Nagi Nagi no Mi Served Its Purpose

Type: Paramecia

Corazon was Doflamingo’s brother and a prominent member of the Donquixote Pirates, but secretly he was a spy working for the Navy. His Devil Fruit power let him create a zone of complete silence, affecting either himself or anyone within it.

Corazon’s death was one of the most heartbreaking moments in the series. He was killed by his own brother for saving a child, and he bravely comforted Law even in his final moments. With his death, the Nagi Nagi no Mi, a powerful Devil Fruit, is no longer in circulation, and its current location remains a mystery.

The Toki Toki no Mi Has Been Missing For Decades

Type: Paramecia

I’m absolutely fascinated by the Toki Toki no Mi! Basically, it lets the user jump forward in time – you decide how far! The really cool thing is, it’s a one-way trip, you can’t go back. We first see Kozuki Toki using it to travel from the mysterious Void Century all the way to the era of Roger. That’s how she met and married Oden, and eventually had Momonosuke and Hyori. It’s such a powerful and unique ability!

When Kaido and the Kurozumi Clan conquered Wano, it appeared the Kozuki family’s reign was over. Amidst the chaos, Toki sent Momo and Kin’emon forward in time. She then made a final stand near a burning building, predicting Kaido’s defeat within 20 years before sacrificing herself. The Devil Fruit she possessed, the Toki Toki no Mi, hasn’t been seen since.

The Fude Fude no Mi Is Nowhere To Be Seen

Type: Paramecia

Kanjuro was responsible for a significant betrayal in One Piece. His true purpose was to dismantle the Red Scabbards from within, and he used a powerful, yet subtle, Devil Fruit called the Fude Fude no Mi to accomplish this. This fruit allowed him to make anything he painted come to life.

During the battle at Onigashima, Kanjuro nearly escaped responsibility for his terrible actions. However, the arc concluded with him facing the Red Scabbards – the very people he’d tried to eliminate. Ultimately, he was defeated by Kin’emon in a satisfying showdown, and his Devil Fruit powers were rendered useless.

The Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Yamato no Orochi Is Gone

Type: Mythical Zoan

I witnessed Orochi play a huge role as the villain throughout the Wano arc, right alongside Kaido. He was essentially the one pulling the strings, and his actions really weakened Wano’s power and standing in the world. What was particularly frightening about him was his Devil Fruit power – he could transform into an eight-headed serpent. As long as even one head remained, he could keep living, making him incredibly difficult to defeat.

I always thought it was ironic that Orochi, despite having a powerful Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit, was actually one of the weakest fighters we saw. The fruit did let him avoid death a few times – he was beheaded by Kaido, then the Red Scabbards, and even Denjiro had to finish the job – but it clearly wasn’t enough to save him from a pretty gruesome end. After all that, no one’s seen the fruit since.

One Piece can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
